I have been with LG now for 17 years and had this 55UM 74 now for nearly 3years. It has never let me down,OS is a pleasure to use so quick and simple, great picture quality, fantastic sound, I have never experienced any light bleed all the time Ive had it. I would recommend this TV .

Not sure how long I have this TV but it is amazing. The picture quality is super clear and it's very easy to navigate. The are some draw backs, but they are tiny compared to the features you get.

Didn't use it for 9 months after purchasing it as it a major omission. No headphones socket. So I am unable to connect my current speaker system to it. Started to use it and explore it since registering it. Lots of useful features. Picture quality needs careful setup and is not that easy. Overall fairly satisfied and like the single stand being in the middle.

It works better than my old QLed tv ,it only lasted 3yesrs.

purchased this in April and the stand isn't supportive for the television at all considering the size of the screen. The TV fell of the stand today with no-one near or touching it. Waste of money i would not recommend.

Brilliant menu and quality, my only gripe is every now and again the screen flickers to noise, like between shots in a film or adverts on tv or anything, must be a bug in the hdr software.

Good telly for the price but picture to as good as my old Panasonic 43inch tho , but I couldn’t afford anything more so got this LG one

This TV is so easy to use, has bluetooth capacbility to connect speakers and connects seamlessly to Now TV, Spotify, Netflix, Prime and You Tube + the internet too!

Remote is smart and easy to use with Netflix and Prime direct buttons. TV guide is easy to navigate and very precise.

This TV is recommended and 55" is fantastic.

I do like this TV and I like LG as a manufacturer. I think the picture quality is great as well as the sound. The SMART features are truly fantastic compared to other TVs that I have used. The only thing that lets this TV down is the plasticy quality. Mine is not wall mounted, and I have wooden floors where there is sometimes vibration when someone walks in the sitting room. Due to the size of the television and the plasticy build, my experience is that there is a lot of vibrating rattle across the TV. I'm sure that if it was wall mounted, this wouldn't be a problem, but saying that, I've never had this issue before with any other TV. All in all, this is a quality piece of equipment which links in with my LG Blu-ray player and LG soundbar.

I am very happy with the TV. The picture is sharp & crisp, and the sound (with the associated sound bar) is way better than expected. I have deducted one star as it would have been nice if the remote included the audio function rather than having to buy an upgraded one

This a great piece of visual delight.

Pros:

• Easy to use OS, this being my first smart TV but setup was a breeze.
• The visuals are stunning, 4K really makes a difference and the increased fps soothes your eyes.
• The energy footprint is quite low, unsurprising as it is A+ rated
• The stand can give an impression of wobble but it is much secure and sturdy than the impression it gives from the product picture
  
  

Cons

• Some backlight bleed around the edges, noticeable in dark scenes. We contacted LG tech support and they mentioned it's by design and not a fault of the panel. Fast fwd 9 months, the bleed still exists but it doesn't hamper the viewing experience, unless you nitpick!

Read reviews about this TV before finalising my purchase. Extremely happy. Easy to set up. Only down side was I never realised that this model never came with the magic remote.

Don’t know how many times I have programmed the terrestrial channels in . As soon as you go to standby or off they all disappear annoying!

The TV is of really good quality externally. Obviously features like HDR, 4K, WIFI, various picture modes and energy saving modes is the norm nowadays. 55" is a really good size for movies and games.

The menu is very intuitive and easy to navigate. I personally prefer the Magic remote, which has to be bought separately and a soundbar. Having said that however the sound coming out of the internal speakers is very decent.

Once LG haven't disappointed me. The only grind I have with this TV is the startup loading of the system. It's been almost a year and after you turn the TV you can't immediately access the Home menu, YouTube, Netflix or any of the iPlayer services. You need to wait for like minute. It would've been nice if there was a software update to speed things up but all in all really good TV and good value for money. Would I recommend this TV, yes definitely.
