Motherboard
Arvosana 5/5Excellent product with great features, extremely well made.
Pay more, get more.
Arvosana 5/5It works an absolute treat!
It's the first board I've owned where the onboard audio doesn't crackle due to interference, the usb3 ports work with usb2 devices (better than my previous Z490 board which I had to return (a different manufacturer)) and I have a lot of confidence in it because of this.
Would a cheaper board work, yeah, but would it work as well, possibly not. I'm not going back!
Nice board - Shame about Aura
Arvosana 4/5As the title suggests - I am pleased with the board but am more than disappointed with Aura, as are many others. Considering it is a gaming board, there are only 2 argb and 2 RGB headers which cannot be controlled independently so matching colours with different pieces of rgb is impossible. This used to be possible but now Asus in their wisdom have removed the facility. They have teamed up with Corsairs' iCue which is the only chance of controlling the RGB separately but won't do the aRGB - the need to run 2 different softwares could , I imagine, lead to problems. I am running a i9 10900k with a 360 Lian Li AIO in a Lian Li case and everything including the board is as cool as you like. I added a VRM fan, but in hindsight needn't have bothered as the heatsinking with my 9 fans will probably never give it a chance to kick in. Only 1 PCle1 slot available for add on cards is a bit short considering my last Asus Z490 p board had 3 but overall speed and power delivery has improved greatly. Overall I recommend this board but knock off 1 star due to Aura
Solid MATX 10th Gen board, if a little pricey.
Arvosana 4/5Its a very good MATX board for 10th generation Intel chips, not so good for 11th generation as it does not support PCIE gen 4 properly. If you like RGB lighting then it is a good board to choose.
