It does a thorough job of cleaning my teeth. It is not too soft or hard on my teeth which is good because sometimes my gums can be sensitive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using Sonicare toothbrushes for years, but switching to the C3 Premium Plaque Defence brush head made a noticeable difference almost immediately. My teeth feel cleaner, smoother, and fresher after every brush – like that just-left-the-dentist feeling.

The bristles are firm but not harsh, and they contour really well to my gum line and the hard-to-reach areas in the back. I also love the way it adapts to pressure – it feels like it’s doing the work for me without being abrasive.

C3 Premium Plaque Defence Philips Sonicare brush head fits my Philips Prestige 9900 toothbrush prefectly.

Firstly, I was surprised about how gentle this toothbrush head is for my gums. For the best results I used the Sonicare app to make sure all areas are covered and that I don't scrub my teeth. On day four I noticed first results - visibly less plaque. This brush head gives the teeth a deep clean and leaves them whiter. Definitely can recommend this product.

After a few weeks of use my teeth look noticeable whiter and I've found that the bristles do a great job of getting in small gaps between my teeth. Although the brush head says medium soft, I still found the bristles to be on the firmer side which may be difficult if you have more sensitive teeth, though this wasn't an issue for me. The brush head is also quite large, which made it slightly difficult to be precise with my brushing though this was only a minor inconvenience. Overall, I'm really impressed with the brush head and will definitely be purchasing more in the future.

This toothbrush head deeply cleaned my teeth whilst being very gentle on my very sensitive gums, thus providing an excellent all round thorough clean.

Since using this brush head I have noticed a significant reduction of plaque, as well as giving my teeth a whiter appearance. This was also commented on by my Dentist during a recent check-up appointment.

Another good feature of this brush head is the blue bristles will fade in colour allowing you to tell when to replace it.

To sum up, if you want a brush head to give you a deep effortless clean without any effort involved, this is most certainly the brush head for you.

I also like the firmer bristles which are targeting any plaque build up. I love the brush heads come with covers to protect the bristles whilst it is being stored. The sleek black looks good when left on display in the bathroom.

Despite being medium soft I found the bristles harder than the head they replaced but I got used to it after a few uses and had no issues with sore or bleeding gums after use. I also found the head felt a little larger when using despite being the same size as the one it replaced but I think that's down to the firmness of the bristles.

Overall though good value for money and would thoroughly recommend.

It comes as a pack of two so allows you to change when required (recommended every 3 months and there is also a reminder feature on the handle) and then purchase a new pack in its place. It gives a deep and thorough clean and leaves your teeth feeling refreshed. I would say if you don’t like to apply too much pressure to your brushing the medium soft brush will be a welcomed addition to your home.

These were my go to, the perfect toothbrush, medium soft and easily covers your tooth and gums, while being the right size to get to the very back teeth. These are now firm and making my teeth sensitive and are too harsh. I've spoken to Philip and am waiting to hear if they'll let me exchange for a softer brush as these aren't as described.
