Very well
Good lenses I realised an old dream! It works very good
Size Matters!
Last year, I carried my old EOS 5D Mark IV and 24-105 L series lens around Valencia for a week. It was TOO HEAVY! So, this year, I bought an EOS R8 plus 24-105 "Kit" lens for my trip to Malaga. The over0riding reasoning behind the choice was compactness and weight. I shot around 1,000 pics in a week and am VERY HAPPY with the results from both the camera and lens. As a direct comparison, I tied the EF 24-105 with an adapter. Realistically, for what I am doing, the difference does not merit the cost of an RF series lens.
good service
Very happy with the lens. It was easy to order, good website, and I knew which country it was coming from, unlike many other sites I visited.
24-105mm Conon RF lens
Have used this a bit and found it very good, including the macro facility. Sharp and gives a useful depth of field even up close.
RF 24-105mm lens
Purchase and delivery process speedy and painless. So far as I can tell from the very few photos I have taken using the lens- attached to my equally new Canon RP- it matches the high qualities of all the Canon lenses I have used since buying my first EOS camera- the original 650. I must admit though that the information leaflet that came with the lens contains no information as to the significance of the "Focus/Control" switch- so enlightenment in such regard would be appreciated.

My go to and take everywhere lens.
Always been a Nikon owner (30 years) and decided to sell up and switch systems. I went for the Canon RP along with the RF 35mm prime and the RF 24-105MM are my go to favourite lens and I love the sharp, noise free images compared to the Nikon DX system that I sold.
Fantastic image stabilisation
Very pleased with this lens
Really useful travel lens
I wanted something small and lightweight as an all round lens for holidays and travel. There hasn't been much chance for that lately thanks to covid but its already proven to be a great lens with really good image quality.
Awful Lens
It lacks sharpness, especially at the edges. The amount of purple fringing reminds me of a compact camera circa 2004, it’s dreadful. It feels cheap, and F7.1 at 105mm is unacceptable.
Kit lens
Bought with R6 as a kit because body only was not available at the time. Should have waited. Extra money was wasted. Get the F4 version instead.
This lens came with the R6 , good lens, sharp and fine for general use , landscapes ect, not so great for portraits as it is hard to achieve bokken, none the less a good lens to have
Everyday wander about lens
Lighter than the L which it replaced. Pretty good images, I use the RF 24 - 240 lens more often, it suits me better.
Can’t complain
Had the R6 with kit lens now for about a month. As Canon are having shipping and stock issues with the Ef converter the kit lens is the only one I have. That been said I am very impressed, it really is a fantastic little lens. Quick to focus and surprisingly sharp I can’t complain about anything.
Versatility at its best
Best companion with R6 visiting wild Ireland.
Good Lens
Overall, I'm happy with this lens although the autofocus could be faster.
Better than I hoped for!
I was reluctant to move into the unknown waters of 'mirrorless' but I am so pleased I took that leap. To date fast accurate focusing and sharp images. I love my 5D MK111 but the R6 is a great addition with the bonus of being smaller and lighter - ideal when not keen on carrying too much bulk. What sold it for me was the adapter [included during the offer] that allows me to use all my other expensive kit - having said that the RF lens is much smaller and it has to be said a good all rounder if the F stops suit your needs. The Canon app very useful but disappointed no usb lead included. Still finding my way around the camera features but to date - love it.
Great balance and range
What with Covid and poor weather I have not had much of a chance to use so far, however, the R6/24-105 combination is an excellent balance, combo is just the right size/weight and zoom range. Feels well-made too. The pictures that I have taken so far seem to be nice and sharp. I like the control ring too.

Excellent lens
This lens is way beyond an ordinary so called “kit lens” am very pleased with all aspects I wish I could post some examples to demonstrate its potential.
Great kit Lens
I bought this with the EOS R6. Restricted use due to Covid-19 lockdown but visited local heath and lake to test it. The range of the lens was good for landscape photos of the scenery and the close up shots of the Swans Ducks and Geese. I enjoy including reflections in the water and was able to get some good examples. I also took macro shots using the method outlined in the EOS Magazine and was very pleased with the results and the depth of field. Overall I am very pleased.
A good, reliable kit lens
I bought this as part of a Camera+lens kit with the Canon EOS R6. It’s proved to be what it is; a steady, reliable kit lens for everyday use. The quality of focus was ok but I found bokeh not as soft as I would have liked on a wide aperture. The variable aperture also meant less flexibility in low light conditions. But good value for money as part of the package or as an individual purchase.
It hasn’t taken me long to invest in the RF 24-70 f2.8 L lens - a breathtaking step up in lens quality, but to be expected with a much higher price.
Great lens
I have had this les as part of a package with the Canon R6. Great quality results. Easy to use and light weight. Smooth zoom features and the image stabilisation is excellent even below 1/15 sec
much better
they now have made smaller camera's and much bigger lenses i had the L version of this lens VERY BIG AND HEAVY, with the zoom ring next to the camera body very awkward to use, no room on camera grip and zoom ring for both hands. but this 7.1 lens has zoom ring further forward much better handling. very good picture quality ,sad to get rid of a L lens, but this is good enough for me ,first time I used this lens my photos were published in my local paper so cant be bad
