Rather loud, but makes pretty good coffeeArvosana 5/5
Overall I am quite happy with my purchase. The S Smart makes good coffee once you tune it to your liking. You can follow the videos on their YouTube channel for a quick introduction.
It can use both coffee beans and ground coffee, however beans taste better and for some reason ground coffee, if it's in the machine, sometimes falls through and lands next to the incorporated "coffee waste bin" when you want to not use the ground and use the beans. But otherwise it functions well.
I like that it's easy to clean the tray and the water is also really easy to take out and refill (some machines I used had the water tank in the back and it was difficult to take out).
The S Smart is quite loud, not extremely, but probably a bit louder than some others, but I don't find it a problem.
It also has a manual milk steaming nozzle. I really like that it's manual because no milk goes inside the machine that then needs to be cleaned up. Steam only comes out and you place the nozzle inside the milk and voila, creamy milk for your espresso! Just be aware, their video is wrong for this. They say that you need to wait to put steam until the steam button light stops blinking, but actually you can start using the nozzle just when it starts blinking (the other buttons blink until the water warms up, then they stop and the steam button blinks that it's ready to use).
We are quite happy with the purchase.
