Bought this brand new and Asus won't warranty it as they say its gray goods. They made it and they should warranty it. I have been conned.

Took a while to set up and a number of attempts.

It could and should be simpler especially when sold as a pair

but now it up and running there has been a great improvement on Virgin Media's Hub

Added as satellites to the RT-AX89X, this has meant we now get 300Mbits - 1gb download speeds in every room of a large house (approx. 5500 sq feet). Even reaches my external office at around 80mbits (about 50 feet through walls and garden) Highly recommended - bought all on advice from Scan computers, also highly recommended.

It’s not often that you purchase something that does exactly what it’s supposed to while making it easy to do so but this fantastic piece of tech solved all my Virgin Hub 3 problems with signal strength and stability. I live in a 2 floor house with solid brick walls and with the awful Hub 3 I had low signal areas upstairs and signal stability was awful.

I was expecting to have to pay out for an expensive Mesh system but thought I’d try one RT-AX92U first as I could always purchase another and mesh it to the first if it wasn’t enough. As it turned out I don’t need to. To be honest, the signal strength isn’t a massive improvement over the Hub 3. It is better but what is amazing is the stability. With the Hub 3, if the signal was weak anywhere my 200mb line would drop to single figure speeds but the stability would make it often unusable. My sons gaming was becoming a constant pain in my ear. With the ASUS this is no longer a problem. Even in areas that have a slightly lower signal, the stability is amazing and now receive a steady 200-220mb everywhere. The RT-AX92U allows me to prioritise my sons gaming and even lets me NAT a path to whatever gaming server he’s using. Perfect line speeds. Even his friends are jealous now.

As for setup, it’s a dream. I bought a Cat7 cable to link the ASUS and Hub 3 (it does come with a Cat5).

You link the WAN port on the ASUS to port 1 on the Hub 3, log into the Hub 3 using a browser on the same network. Change the Hub 3 to Modem mode and restart it.

Once it’s restarted, turn on the ASUS, download the ASUS router app and literally do what it says. I had to update the firmware, which the app does for you but that was it. I’ve done a lot of Router installs but this was by far the easiest I’ve ever done.

As you can guess, I’m a fan. It’s solved all my issues and at a reasonable price to boot. A fantastic piece of kit.

Works well. Great range. Easy to set up. Do work through the advanced settings. I adjusted the channel of the 5GHz range manually because auto left it fighting with my Sky Q. 2.4GHz works well on auto.

Bought so my son gets better WiFi in attic, router is in living room and my son plays online games in his attic room (3 floors up) . He was getting 30mbs from old router over our 400mbs package, he now gets 380mbs over the WiFi 6 connection or 215mbs over the WiFi 5 connection. He is pleased so I am pleased.

Excellent mesh system? Fast and reliable with full house coverage. Services for over 30 devices.

Nopea, monipuolinen, helposti konfiguroitava sekä tyylikäs laite. Minulle sattui kaksi ”maanantaikappaletta”, mutta takuun puitteissa ilman ongelmia vaihdettiin molemmat laitteet uuteen. Nykyinen toiminut moitteettomasti. Helppo seuranta iPadillä miten yhteydet toimivat.

Great router. Excellent wifi speeds at distance in an old house with thick walls. I bought this to ensure our baby monitor was always connected and I was very surprised how well this performs.

Erittäin hyvä reititin. itse käytän tätä Aimesh reitittimenä ja Asus RT-AX56U on AiMesh node

Todella helppo käyttöinen ja paljon ominaisuuksia.

Reititin on todella laadukas. mutta on vähän lämmin kyllä. Suosittelen jos haluaa todella hyvän reitittimen. ei tarvitse AiMesh mutta auttaa kantaman kanssa. mutta reitittimessä on kyllä itsenään jo hyvä kantama.

Hommasin reitittimen 5G netin tueksi, ja kyllä muuten yhteydet parani huomattavasti! Edeltävän Asus reitittimen kanssa yhteyden nopeus oli nihkeästi 100megaa. Tällä reitittimellä nopeus on parhaimmillaan 350megaa vaikka olisit toisella puolen asuntoa, asunnon koko 74n. Ei enää yhteydet takkuile, suosittelen!

Ostin tämän tuoteen koska vanha reititin Linsys WRT1900AC ei pystynyt toimittamaan tarpeeksi hyvää signaalia koko taloon (80m2) ja terassille. Nyt verkko toimii moitteettomasti koko talossa ja terassilla. Verkon nopeus terassilla on 97 Mt/s
