A versatile and good all rounder for wildlife in it’s natural environment.
I bought the light weight 70-200mm lens for my holiday which included photographing wildlife. It was simple to use and produced some terrific images.

Had this for a year noe. So happy with it. Easy in use,lightweight. Couldn't be happier with it.
Can't be used with a tele
It's a waste of space for a pro.....it cannot be used with a teleconverter, which is a complete deal breaker for me.

The glass and build of this lens is first class.
Light and Dependable
Absolute peach of a Lens, because it is so light it can be hand held at extremely low shutter speeds and it does go where other lenses should not be taken.
L = Lovely bargain
Had this lens awhile now it's the cheapest L 70-200mm Canon do, it doesn't have image stabilising or weather seal but the image quality and the build quality are first rate. Well worth the money in fact a bargain.

Simple to use!
One of the most useful lenses I have used, normally I would have to keep changing lenses at functions, this lens takes on most of the work! favorite lens at this time. as for the price, if you want quality you have to pay for it.
Excellent and solid built with lots of features
Got it in winter but already have great shots of birds in the garden and now will venture out to try it out in the country. I think this is a better lens than 100-400 I was comparing with, so I bought 2x Extender if needed a longer range, although costs more I think this is the lens for me to try out in wild life abroad. Quality is the best you can get from Canon!

the quality of the lens is readily evident and the weight not as much as you'd think

Bought it to upgrade similar non-Canon 70-200mm f2.8 lens and very happy I did as the Canon lens gives much better and sharper photos
