the pictures come out really warm looking which i absolutely adore but the focus when u zoom in is very bad.

Had this a month and can honestly say best camera EVER

I have been going from one camera to the next, but nothing is as good as this one.

I bought it a month ago, If you are looking for something which can fit your bag and good quality. Also easy data transfer and another good feature’s which will help you to get the IT photo.

Really disappointed with this camera, I had a Powershot S120, which was excellent, and I thought upgrading it to the G7, would be a good idea, but it's a disaster. It takes too long to focus, therefore, to take a photo and the playback is too slow. But not only can you see what's happening in front of you, but you cannot take another picture. Very frustrating

Lovely camera, small enough to pop in to a pocket but it punches big, it has all that you would expect from a Canon camera, good quality, sturdy construction, takes great photos and videos, results are amazing.

I bought this camera after quite some 'window shopping' i.e. reading reviews on the internet. I was after something light yet with enough features. This camera is perfect match, and can even shoot 4K videos with a decent quality. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is the very primitive WiFi connectivity: it can connect only to a 2.4GHz WiFi access point and only when is operating in fixed channel mode (no channel or bandwidth selection), i.e. uses a ~10 year old WiFi chipset. It took me quite a while to figure this out because is not documented at all.

I bought this camera last month hoping to do some underwater photography with it.

The autofocus on this camera is terrible, even with the new 1.12 firmware. It doesn't detect the face/eyes of humans let alone animals!

I am seriously considering returning this camera as it is basically unusable with this autofocus. Hopefully Canon comes with a software update soon

I bought the camera about a month ago, and i find the auto focus is shocking. I really wanted a camera with a mic input that could replace the DSLR. I thought having read online that there was an upgrade to the firmware which might fix the problem, only to find out that the firmware update had been installed in the factory. So I'm running the 1.2.0 firmware but the auto focus issue are still there, particularly noticeable in every video. I'm finding myself using my iPhone 6s for video rather than this expensive camera. it is extremely disappointing. I've used canon cameras (SLR) with over 15 years and loved them, but I am really sorry I made this purchase. I had hoped this camera was going to be my go to camera, giving me an slr experience but pocket able, but I'm afraid it might have been a huge waste of money. Please can you come out with a proper firmware fix.

I've had this G7X III for 6 weeks now. I had the G12. I take pictures in my job (loss Adjuster) lots of pictures. With the G12 lower light situations long and far, inside and out, occasional macro shots of damaged items etc., we're really good, rarely a bad shot. View finder of course on the G12 was much better for use and battery life excellent.

In short the G7X is none of the above. 50% of pictures are poor in the different situations. I hate this camera and will never get Canon again.

Just bought this to replace the Mkii and what have they done, the autofocus well doesn't autofocus . Face recognition gone ?

Timelapse is hidden in a sub menu , Mk ii it was in the shooting mode along with movie options now its gone on the Mk iii .

It does have a mic jack though .....
