Probably one of the worst printers I've had. Wanted to go for a refillable one to avoid cartridge costs, but that has been replaced by the cost of having it repaired several times now. Keep away from this printer - not worth it.

Had this printer about 18 months and it was easy to set up but after about 8 month the print quality went down hill. Despite regularly using thr cleaning and deep cleaning functions the printing is still stripey and with a greenish tinge. Paper often gets jammed too.

Display is small and not very intuitive to use.

Disappointed.

My new Canon printer G6040 demonstrates cost-effectiveness through its efficient use of consumables. The ink or toner consumption is optimized, resulting in a lower cost per page. This economic advantage is a positive aspect for both personal and professional use., moreover the support software is a great assistance for scanning and printer with many option, my thank, that made my daily workload much easier.

I bought this as a replacement for my previous printer, also a Canon which lasted nearly 10 years. Printing so far is as expected, high quality and relaible. I expect this to be the norm

I bought a canon printer from Canon official homepage to have a piece of mind. But I was wrong, process from A to Z is a complete disaster. A small part is missing so now I am requested to send back the whole package to get a new one. I have to pay myself to find it at a different canon service shop. What is the meaning of canon if you cannot provide service? My last time with you.

I bought this, as I now print in higher volume and wanted to save on ink costs. It is early days but so far it looks to be significantly more economical and performs well.

Set up on 2 machines and mobile was easy. Hoping the use of bottled inks saves us money and so far we love it.

The app for scanning isn't as intuitive as the previous Canon Printer we had.

Brought this to replace an older cannon printer. So far so good.

Not had it long but very happy so far. Had a really bad experience with a HP so pleased that this Canon is a 1000% better. Easy set up and easy to use. Not tried the photo prints as I have specialist photo printers. Other prints are great. Recommended.

It prints well, and the ability to see the ink level before printing - and fill any low ones before printing is great. the app for scanning is less good and the set-up menus on the printer are not obvious - I still do not know what one button does, as it is not mentioned in the instructions

Really easy to set up and I’m delighted that there are no more expensive cartridges to recycle. So wasteful. The print quality is great. Just a wee bit noisy - hence the four not five stars.

I bought this printer about a month ago after comparing the available ink tank printers. Very pleased so far, has been easy to set up and build quality seems better than the equivalent Epson printer that I considered. Some reviewers have criticized the small display screen. While this is small, it's perfectly readable, and to be honest you don't need to use it much as printing is controlled from your computer or mobile phone app. Would buy again.

Canonin ammattilaistulostimet ovat aina olleet laadukkaita, mutta erityisesti pisteet heille myös näiden monitoimi koti / toimisto laitteiden tasosta. ( Johtuneeko sitten siitä, että Canonilla on ollut pitkään myös kameroita - toisin kuin joillain muilla tulostinmerkillä ) Laite on tukeva ja painavahko, vaikka kaikki nykyisin muovia onkin.

Tämän mallin saa yhdistettyä verkon kautta, hyvä ominaisuus jos kotona tai toimistossa useita tietokoneita.

Saatavilla netin kautta myös kattavat ohjeet ja skannaus, tulostus sekä ylläpito ohjelmistot tietokoneelle tallennettavaksi. Itselleni ne ovat paljon tärkeämmät kuin suora toiminta laitteen paneelista, jota todella harvoin tarvitsen - yleensä vain kopiointiin.

Laitteeseen mahtuu paljon paperia ja mustetta, sen skannausresoluutio on melko hyvä ( tosin pari kymmentä vuotta sitten myytiin vielä parempia ). Koneen täyttö ja käyttöönotto ( e-piuhalla suoraan verkkolaitteeseen ) netin kautta sujui ongelmitta, langattomuudesta ei minulla tämän kanssa mitään kokemusta.

Tulostusjälki on laadukas, mutta kuten yleensä; suoraan verrannollista tulostuspäiden puhtauteen. Näiden säiliömustelaitteiden jokaviikkoinen käyttö onkin tärkeää, jotta musteet eivät ehdi kuivua tulostuspäihin ja putkistoihin. Siinä missä voitetaan taloudellisuudessa patruunoihin verrattuna, pitää oma käytöaste huomioida - nämä tykkää käyttämisestä!

i bought this printer 2 months ago and its perfectly working and the quality of printing is in high resolution and the benefit of this printer is im able to print multiple type of papers in this with high resolution quality like glossy, matte, restickable papers etc.

i have not been able to use canon printing application. Installing is too difficult, can not get it right.

This is really the worst.

Not friendly, keep stucking all the time.

Very very slow.

I have it for about six months, never had the luck to print without fault or some kind of troubleshooting.

Waste of money.

the printer works well. The display is poor, under normal lighting can not be read well. When I bought the printer, I assumed it was backlit.

When I set up the printer, I had to light the screen with a flashlight - the guy laughed next to him and asked what you were doing until he found it necessary.

Bad design fault. Window display should light up like our previous Canon MG8250. Can only read it with an overhead ceiling light shining down on the printer.

This sounded like the ideal printer for me but set up was difficult. It doesn't seem to like Airprint from my Mac and is often apparently offline. I haven't yet figured out how to use the cassette for printing - the printer won't work if there isn't paper in both cassette and paper feed and the black on green LED screen is tiny and difficult to read. When it prints it's speedy and good, but I spend more time trying to figure out why it's offline than printing! So far have not managed to make the scan function work. I've had Canon printers, and others, before and have managed to set the up without difficulty even with AirPrint so it's not like I don't know what I'm doing. Given the option, I wouldn't buy this again.

I needed an ink tank printer to replace one I had brought back from Thailand that had worn out. I have always had a good experience with Canon printers. One finally became available just before Christmas..they have hard hard to find for months.

Really pleased. Plus points. Easy to set up. Good capacity paper tray. Duplexer works great. Connection options good..USB, ethernet, wifi.

Also (like most Canon printers) printheads are easily removed if ever there are problems with clogging (unlike other brands where heads are difficult or impossible to remove)

print quality in standard mode for normal paper (colour) is not too good - washed out but in best mode is really good. Handles labels, card etc fine via rear tray. Scanning works fine. Not tried photo prints yet as I have a 6 ink Canon printer I do those on.

Ink filling is a doddle. Well thought out valve system that prevents spills.

Only downsides are 1) the tiny unlit control screen. 2) It is a tad noisy in operation and 3) a bit on the slow side to start printing. However these are minor issues. So far it is really working well and ink tanks plus generous paper tray work great when there is print needs beyond the odd print job now and again. Well worth the extra expense...and knowing its Genuine Canon ink being used means consistent print quality compared with using indifferent substitute ink which is usually the case with using cartridge based printers.

Etsin laitetta, jonka tulostuslaatu on mahdollisimman hyvä. Tämä laite vastaa täysin odotuksiani. Tulostus, myös kaksipuolisena, kopiointi ja skannaus toimivat erinomaisesti. Valokuvia en ole vielä tulostanut. Käyttöönotto oli kohtuullisen helppoa, mutta en ole vielä tutustunut aivan kaikkiin ominaisuuksiin. Laite on ilmeisesti vankkaa tekoa eivätkä käyttöäänet häiritse.

I bought the printer last year was great until trying to refill tanks. Ink wont refill. Now after a wasted day trying to refill I'm stuck with a useless machine
