Amazing value and lots of fun!
I received these sunglasses as a gift and they are amazing! I love the pink lenses that came with them too! Great for long walks to listen to the radio or music but still being able to hear what is going on around me. Highly recommended!
Simple to use and great sound
These will be great on holiday to listen by the pool. My only wish is you could get lenses for reading, especially for use on a plane.
Brilliant
Fantastic set of sunglasses. Great response and straight forward to use. Optional change of lenses available as well
Excellent glasses
Excellent glasses very clear sound and quite loud highly recommended
Fabulous sunglasses
I bought these sunglasses to help with sensory issues. They are brilliant as sunglasses and the audio, responsiveness is phenomenal. Still getting the hang of turning the volume up and down, this doesn't seem to be working quite right. Just wish the battery lasted a little longer.
Nice and cool look
Happy with my purchase. Sound quality can still be better.
I like these but, the sound could be a bit louder
These are good but, the sound could be a bit louder, they are comfortable to were for a long time and I like that you can change the lenses
Great product
The sound quality is great, but i think it lacks a little in volume.
Only if you run a surfboard hire stand!
I enjoyed the sound of the Frames; a natural, ambient, sound quite unlike the inside-your-head feeling of in-ear devices. Allowing for a lack of deep bass, it is crisp and detailed; exactly what you would expect from Bose. They look good and are lightweight and comfortable to wear too.
Now for the problem; the two things (sunglasses, audio) add up to less than the sum of their parts, since you can hardly wear them indoors, at night and in bad weather. I live in a sunny country and I’m very outdoors-y - a runner and cyclist - but I just don’t think I’d get enough use to justify the cost of owning these and another listening device. For that reason, I returned mine.
If Bose made a version with close-proximity speakers in neckband form (like the Aftershokz I eventually bought) I would be an absolute shoo-in!
Handy technology but not perfect
(1) there’s a factorial fault before I put it on. (2) I brought it with me when I went to travel, it’s a very unique and satisfied experience because you can listen to music wherever you go, however the battery could only last for 2 hours. (3) Sounds quality is better than I thought. (4) The flame is not very stylish.
Great features
I bought this a few weeks ago and it’s pretty good just not good enough for music lovers
If your ears stick out you are in for a treat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] m not a fan of Over-Ear Headphones and always catching the wires of my earbuds the idea of having a sound system built into a pair of stylish sunglasses was too much of a temptation. When I initially got them the British summer conspired to thwart my fun so to get my moneys worth I took the lenses out and wore them like that patiently waiting for some sun, would be good if Bose offered some clear lenses so you can make the most of the glasses.
The Bose Frames look and feel really nice, I have a larger sized head and finding comfortable glasses can be an issue but I have to say I could wear these all day. Setting up the Frames with the App was really easy and I like the simple instructions Bose supply, I’m not a great one for ploughing though mountains information so they get my gratitude for that.
The sound is directed into your ears via speakers on the arms, this is audible to people around you, I was concerned about that but I had someone else wear them, it is reasonably quiet and not irritating as you can hear the whole of the music which in noisier environments seems almost to disappear into the background. The quality of the sound is good as you would expect from Bose but a little on the quiet side even approaching full volume, this is where your sticking out ears pays off in a big way. If you bend your ears slightly forward the sound increases by a lot and if you cup your hands over your ears (I have a lot of spare time) the volume increase is incredible and you get the full impact of how dynamic these tiny speakers are.
I’ve made many calls with the Frames and people at the other end haven’t noticed any issues with some even saying the call quality is better than with the phone alone. I don’t really use Siri much but tested it and works well and does what I asked.
To summarise, the Frames are stylish and comfortable with nice sound quality and if they offered them with prescription lenses I would gladly wear them daily I really enjoyed using them for making calls.
Crisp sound and little leakage
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was curious as to how these would work, I was a little worried I would be walking around with music blasting from my face. However, I was pleasantly surprised! The speakers are nestles into the thicker part of the legs and point directly to the ears, so there is very little leakage of sound. The sound quality itself is exceptionally crisp and clean, the bass is somewhat lacking but that's not been an issue for me. Generally the sound quality is exactly what you'd expect from Bose - top notch!
The design of the glasses is pretty stylish, the shape is modern and kind of hipstery. Overall they look good but they could be improved by using a different type of plastic. I can't help but feel that they look a little cheap. I'm not sure if they used this material to ensure the durability of the product and the safety of the speakers, they certainly seem durable and not in any way fragile. The case that comes with the glasses is a nice touch and definitely comes in handy. I was glad that they offer the ability to switch out lenses. I used both blue and black.
In terms of functionality, I like the built in mic. It's kind of cool to be able to speak to someone through your glasses. The Bose connect app is how you hook your smart phone up to the glasses. It's easy to navigate but I'd have preferred the option of just hooking up via bluetooth without the need for an app.
Interesting Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m testing a courtesy pair of these at the moment. I’m a big fan of Bose products, having owned noise-cancelling headphones since their inception as well as other home audio products. This is the first Bose product which hasn’t completely wowed me - the sound is “OK”, but far from what one would expect from their other products. They use a tiny loud speaker rather than any sort of conductive technology, meaning they are audible to people around you.
From a style point of view, I’m used to RayBan and Persol glasses. Front on these don’t look too bad and are well constructed, but side on the huge arms spoil the appearance.
Despite the criticisms, these are excellent in some scenarios. I’ve worn them dog walking on a couple of occasions - I love that I can listen to music or the news without blocking out all ambient noise (for example traffic when crossing the road). Similarly I can envisage them being a good “hands free” solution for making calls when driving, again without drowning out other road noise.
Overall a nice pair of sunglasses with great sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my Rondo frames for about a month and have used them a fair amount in that time. Setting the up is incredibly easy and I had no problem navigating the app which you have to use. I had low expectations when it came to the sound but it turned out to be excellent. The tiny speakers are located in the arms and surround the ear. The quality of sound is phenomenal from such small speakers - as other reviewers have commented the bass isn't great but it's impressive nonetheless. Using the button on the right arm you can turn them on, play, pause, skip and rewind tracks really easily as well as answering and ending phone calls. You need to adjust the volume using your phone - you can do this either through the app or adjusting your phone volume. There is sound leakage but, unless you are one of those people that blasts music, it really shouldn't be a problem.
I have an Android phone and so there were no augmented reality options available but, looking online, they are coming imminently. These will definitely add a new experience to using the frames.
The sunglasses look good on and I found myself wearing them more in place of my usual sunglasses even if I wasn't using the speaker function. The arms are bulkier than on regular frames but that's to be expected and they don't look bad.
Overall I was really impressed with the sunglasses and look forward to using them more in the summer months ahead
It's an interesting gadget
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited for the Bose frames when I first saw them. It's really cool little gadget. It's very easy to set up, just download an app and connect with bluetooth. Only one button on glasses does all the jobs. To turn them on, stop and start music, play next or previous song and answer phone calls. Phone call feature is pretty useless as the person on the other end cant hear me. Maybe indoors where it's quite would be better but it's no point of wearing sunglasses then. The sound I would say it's just about ok. I need to put volume full power to hear song words. Battery life is brilliant. I think I had to charge it after like 4 days of listening music on my journey to and from work and that's a while to go.
All together even if it's really interesting gadget I'm still gonna go for headphones. It's just not good enough.
Sunglasses with built in Headphone
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got these sunglasses few weeks ago. I liked the idea that nobody else knows you are listening even on full volume and only about one per cent of the sound leaks into the room. Even with loud music playing, battery life is up to three and a half hours approx. Everything is controlled by a discreet multi functional button for example press once to pause the music and twice to resume etc. I've customised my pair with the swappable lenses in rose gold. These process was easy. Simply pop the lenses in and out. I was gobsmacked when I accessed content through gestures by nodding my head to say yes and shake my head to say no which I thought , was very handy for changing tracks and accepting phone calls.
I am wearing these glasses now a days in summer but it will be extremely impractical to use these glasses during winter and/or cloudy days.
Great pair of sunnies!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had these frames for about a week now, and have to say I’m really pleased with them.
They are very light and comfortable to wear. I have the black lenses which do a perfectly fine job keeping the bright sunlight out. I was originally worried about the thickness of the arms but I have to say when wearing them they don’t look chunky at all.
So, the important bit! The sound. Don’t go expecting deep bass that you would get from a pair of on-ear headphones, if that’s what you want then that’s what you need to buy. That said the sound is surprisingly good. Perfectly adequate for listening to tunes when chilling on the sun lounger on holiday. The added bonus is that you can hold a conversation without needing to unplug or take off earphones. The only draw back is there is a sound leak so people around you could hear the tinny version of whatever you're listening to.
There is a convenient facility to play, pause, skip forward or back on music tracks from a tiny button on the side of the frames, you can even take calls. Battery life so far seems very good, I have only charged them once in a week, and they have been used a lot recently. If you flip the frames upside down they will conveniently turn off, and the case provided will provide more than ample protection.
Charging is easy and quick, as is pairing with an iPhone through the Bose connect app.
All in all, very pleased, these won’t replace headphones but thats not what they are designed for. Go treat yourself!
Great sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These glasses are a totally new way of listening to music, They sit on your head perfectly and are not heavy at all. The sound is incredible and takin phone calls is amazing compared to holding a phone up to your head. However the glasses are lacking bass, but this isnt a big down side. They do look a bit chunky on, but only if you look for it. Overall great product, in the summer anyway.
Bose hands free audio sunglasses
I have been using the bose sunglasses for around 3 weeks. I have done many activities using them including walking, running, commuting, gardening, shopping and its all been great. Its surprisingly lightweight and does not move from my face when I am very active. The sound is nice and the ability to control my media using the voice control is awesome. Only one thing though, other people can hear it but thats a small price to pay for good looking audio sunglasses with uv protection and interchangeable lenses.
Bose Rondo Frames
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once received I couldn’t wait to open the parcel. Really lightweight and so easy to download Bose Connect + app to my mobile phone. The app helps you connect via Bluetooth and you can choose a name for your Frames I named mine Roast Beats. The case for the Frames is really robust and made well for keeping them safe and clean. I used mine first of all while preparing a meal in the kitchen listening to Robbie Williams. I have also wore them while cutting my lawns front and back made it more of a pleasure than just a chore. Easy to charge up via usb. Easy to turn off by just turning the Bose Frames upside down and can take calls and then return to your favourite music.
It's for a very niche market.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always wanted to try these out because I love the tech that Bose pushes forward. I had very high expectations from this product but they're just hit or miss. Due to my busy lifestyle, I used them daily for most of the day as I am always out and about. They fit comfortably and were solidly built, never had an urge to take em off. These were also easy to use and the one button really made it a clutter free experience. Where these fell off were sound quality. See, Bose chose to make it a speaker system instead of a bone conduction motors which improve the lows by a huge margin and these fell of due to that. Also, these are targeted for a very niche market that is people who are always out and in the market for premium sunglasses. Also, they're not polarised so they will not work with iPhone's face ID.
Limited usability but amazing when you do
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bose Rondo
The design to me seems quite Neutral, If I saw them in a local German style supermarket I would not entertain buying them but because they are Bose you would! does this make me a techno snob? Maybe.
Charging was relatively simple with a supplied USB adapter cable, Bluetooth connectivity was straight forward too, like any other device.
Changing the look of the glasses by swopping the lenses was quite easy while following the instructions, I would prefer to have polarized lens and to have these you’ll need to invest an additional £30.
Sound Quality was surprisingly good, although the bass could have been better, you can still hold a conversation while wearing them but unfortunately any person within a couple meters can also hear a small din from your glasses.
Conclusion: - I would personally wear them but I don’t tend to wear sunglasses indoors or in bad weather! I would only use them while walking the dog or sunbathing and I really enjoyed them to the full.
So stylish
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These sunglasses are just amazing. Not only do the look cool and protect my eyes the sound that comes through them is fantastic. Music is clear, and phone calls made and received are like being in the same room.
They are comfortable to wear, only fault is that they do tend to fall down as slightly big for my face, maybe change the frame style as quite thick, but very lightweight to wear, and you can’t change the volume have to be done by my phone. Also love that you can change the lenses from black to the rose gold I have but also going to purchase the blue ones for choices.
I have had so many compliments and people asking about them as they don’t believe that the sunglasses can do what it says on the box!!!
Out with the earbuds in with the glasses.
I recommend these sunnies.
Fantastic bose sound as you would expect always.
