My son got this for Christmas. Im honestly thinking about taking it back, but he really loves it (4 years old). The how thing is very flimsy. Pieces that are supposed to open randomly come open or won't stay closed. It could really be a great toy if a little more time was taken to make it more sturdy and durable.

Maybe we are doing this wrong, but the scepter does not fit in the kings head. This was a birthday gift for my son. A little help would be appreciated.

If half stars were available, I'd give this toy 3.5 stars. First off, my boys love the castle and would probably give it 5 stars. We love the creativeness of it, how the castle and characters deal with showing kids how to use tools and actually build something. It's cool how the figures become a specific tool. It's a super cute toy and seems to be built good. The problem is with the 'screws' used to put the castle together and to keep on the accessories. They easily become loose and I have to continuously go and put the stuff back on to the castle over and over again. Also, when the castle falls or is pushed over, everything again becomes loose or falls off and has to be put on again. I would recommend maybe nuts be given to put on the back of the screws to keep them in place. It's the same issue with the Basher Ship. My son got this as a Christmas present and couldn't wait to put it together! But unfortunately as we putting it together I noticed we're missing a few pieces.. which is very disappointing.. but other then that my son loves it!

We bought this for our 4-year-old as a Christmas gift. My husband works in construction and he really liked the concept of this toy and use of tools. My son loves playing with it but the drawbridge came broken and does not stay shut. Very frustrating. The bricks above the drawbridge are also broken and will not stay closed. This is very disappointing especially for the price of the castle and the expected durability of a product made by Little Tikes.

We also purchased the Wreckin Roller, the Build A Beast, Sir Hammer of Head, and Wreckin’ The Ball-Baron which so far all work great.

This has figures that unlock hidden parts of the castle. That's one of the coolest features is the characters are multi functional! This is over 2 feet and perfect for multiple children to play. I love that this cant be customized to change the build my children love to change the way it looks! I love watching the kids imagination come to life while playing. It was an easy build for them.

Love it except the drawbridge came broken. It will not stay closed. My son is very sad that it will not work properly.

My son was so excited for this birthday gift, he just turned 6. He totally understands how to build simple things, use screws, screwdrivers, etc. The kit included so many parts and a several different building options. However his character, King Hex, broke with the first use. The cannon does not fit on securely- it just dangles from the tower. And the balcony also fits very poorly. This is just my opinion after one hour of use... I will try calling for a replacement King Hex when the call center is open.

The children's ages were 18months, (not within age recommendations) 3 and 1/2 years old and 6 years old. Sebastian (18 mos) loved playing with the king. He could easily move his arms up and down.

Three year old Calicifer loved the action that was within this toy. The draw bridge the went down, the Dungeon and the falling tower. Zayn the six year old loved showing Calcifer the different designs that could be made by interchanging the parts. Like all boys they liked the dragon and the fact that the cannon worked. The dragon was often found protecting the treasure.This castle provided lots of hours of fun for the boys

If king hex hits a certain bolt it reaveals something exciting and opens another part of the castle. He has his own lookout tower to watch his kingdom. Being the biggest box of all the toys my 8 year old took the job of assembling it all by himself. He did it! No help required. I was so proud of him and he felt so good about himself for being able to do it. I like that the assembly is easy enough for a kid to put together. He had so much fun for hours. He loves playing with his toys when he comes home from school. We can’t express enough how satisfied we are we these toys. Great quality! You have not failed us.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow!! First off I want to say this thing is HUGE! I was totally expecting a smaller toy. When this arrived I was shocked! It is adorable. I love that the child can customize the castle to their liking. There are a lot of pieces to this castle but they are all nice hard thick plastic, so perfect for chubby little hands. The king and his scepter are super cute and actually work when it comes to screwing/unscrewing the screws. Overall I am very impressed and will be purchasing the additional pieces to this set.

This Castle keeps him occupied for hours a day since we received it. The versatility of building different ways stimulates the imagination while the many different playing parts hinders boredom.

First you need to build it and can do this in several different ways! When you;re done there are so many way to play with this! Everything opens, moves, expands, pops up... Very cool and quality to and what's even more important it's not the toy for 5 minutes. My son always finds new ways of playing with it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a huge package and truly fun toys for kids. We did spend quite a bit of time together with kids to build it up. It's not as easy as I think but has full of fun though. Although the total only 30 pieces but the instruction is not that clear so we do help our kids to finish it.

The cannon fire is a big surprise and great it does not cause any damage. For the fan of Kingdom Builders, I think this set definitely worths it.

My son is into tools and this whole new line of toys is perfect. The castle was easy to put together and my son had so much fun tighting the screws and then later untighting them to take it apart. The cannon that comes with it really shoots out the plastic cannon which brought so much laughter to him. Thankfully the toy isn’t heavy because he would accidentally pull it over on himself but it wasn’t so light that he thought that was funny too. The toy stand 2 and half feet tall which is perfect for a toddler.

They we're thrilled with the size. I live that you can build it up, and it helps use your imagination, hand eye coordination, and problem solving. The king is a very nice size. I thought he would be smaller, but am happy with how big he is. My boys loved putting and trying to configure it different ways. There's plenty to do, and they've been playing with it off and on for a few days now. Definitely worth it!

This castle is customizable so he can build it the way he wants and find more fun ways to play. The jail and the multiple doors are awesome. It stays together pretty well and makes imaginative play easy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This castle is very cute and w e love that there are so many possibilities for putting it together. The mechanics were a welcome surprise. We had a lot of fun with the shooting cannon and missile, the drawbridge was also really cool. It was difficult to aim our cannon fire for the the triggerspots that cause castle damage, but when we hit them, we were rewarded with fun surprises. Putting it together was a bit more complicated than I liked in part because the instructions left too much to the imagination. You were only instructed on the initial set up for the major piece and then nothing. It would be nice if the instructions showed different configurations or a pieces inventory. The only downsides were that the cannon came with a special screw to attach which didn't screw it to the castle as securely as we would have hoped and the other rocket did not come with a special screw so we tried one of the regular screws which promptly got stuck and rendered that piece useless. Other than that it was great fun.
