I have used Philips shavers for many, many years and wouldn't change to another manufacturer

This is the best shave I can remember after 40 years of daily use of electric shavers. The anti-friction coaating helps the shaver glide easily over the hairs and the blades cut short and clean leaving a very smooth feel to the face and neck

I have been using Philips Philishave electric shavers for around 45 years and have been perfectly happy with all of them until now. The series 6000 is unusable for me. The shaving heads are now bigger which makes shaving very awkward and the individual floating heads can work against each other so if one is down and one is still up that one can dig in or the edge of it can drag on your face. I am used to floating heads that work together, this design is a backward step in shaver design.

I have had a beard since I was 18 as shaving made my face so sore because my whiskers grow in all directions it's like having 4 shaves to get smooth.

This razor shaved me for the first time without making my face sore, well done so pleased with it as can now go beard free now

Disappointed at first as it sounded less powerful than my old Phillips but it dry shaves just as well.where it really scores is wet shaving it shaves as well as a blade razor when you use foam and glides across the skin much easier

I have been trying to get a decent shavewith no reasonable results

Shaver heads are far from the edge of the cutting surface, so it is hard to shave close to my nose. You have to fit a different head for that, and the different head is not too great, basically its a mini-hedge-cutter!

I accidentally broke a small part when cleaning the shaver for the first time (the cutter heads fly off when trying to shake water out after rinsing it. No warning in the instructions about that!). Now when I try to obtain a replacement part, it isn't available. This for a product which is apparently brand new on the market. VERY poor from Philips.

This is the second electric shaver I have tried the first one was ten years ago and not a Philips and after researching I bought this model as rated highly. It is very light and easy to use. Tip follow instructions to use in a rotating motion and don’t apply to much pressure. Just let the shaver do it’s thing. Very light and easy to clean. Wet and dry feature is great with light foam. Also handy for quick shave in the shower. Highly recommended

I have been using this type of Philips shaver for years now. The last one was getting a bit tired after 5 or so years, so time for this replacement and it works perfectly without any skin irritation

Fits in hand nicely, is smart click compatible.

Note the RQ111/50 beard styler does fit & with plastic guard at lowest setting works well with some vibration felt through handle, when press guard button on shaver handle motor speed stays the same.

The RQ111/60 beard styler also fits but generates significant vibration through this handle, shaves no where near as close as the rq111/50 styler even with plastic guard in lowest position. Guard button on shaver does slow motor with this attachment

Not yet tried shaving head that is included with shaver

Bought this shaver based on my previous experiences with Philips, but so disappointed with it. Despite being fully charged, the heads barely turn quickly enough to give a decent shave. I always end up getting my old [other well-known brand] shaver out to finish the job.

Fantastic electric shaver amazing quality gets a really close shave.

I actually use shavers for my head as I keep my beard about a number #5/#6, for that I use a Philips Oneblade so only seemed right to try another philip shaver for my head. It’s very comfortable to use in hand and the skin guard means there’s no nicks on my head/neck. The blades easily cut the different lengths and manage the contours of my head. I can use it with or without foam and in the shower, it’s so easy to use and clean barely any mess. Couldn’t recommend it enough

I bought this thinking it would be better than 3000 series and an actual fact the 6000 isn't better than the

3000 series

This shaver provides a clean smooth irritation free shave and is so easy to use and maintain with exceptional build quality. The battery is high capacity with up to a hours worth of shaving time and can be used with or without shaving foam and is totally waterproof meaning you can shave in the shower. The blade heads have an anti friction coating which works wonders and even includes a sling guard mode that slows down the shaver making it easy to shave with sensitive skin like me. This shaver includes a hard back carry case which is a great touch and includes a trimmer and nose hair attachment making this the ultimate for mens grooming. I have used Philips Shavers for nearly 50 years and found them well made and kinder to my skin than blades and foil shavers. My older shaver, a Philips HQ8253 is 10 years old and needed new cutters. Replacement cutters are relatively expensive so I decided to update to the 6000 series. My comments are based on using the shaver for just over 3 weeks.

First the good bits: it is stylish, easy to clean and gives a good shave if used wet with shaving gel.

The negative points are:-

1. poor battery life: I get about 8 daily shaves compared with 14 for the 10 year old HQ8253 which gave nearer to 20 when new;
2. motor does not seem to be as powerful - I can hear it slowing when hitting a tougher patch of beard;
3. even with a light touch, when used dry it does not glide as smoothly as the HQ8253;
4. the sharp edges to the blue alloy surrounds to the cutters sometimes catch on my skin, particularly going round the jaw line;
5. the shape and size of the alloy cutter surround makes it more difficult to get to the hairs on my top lip under the nostrils - I have to use my older shaver for that.

In conclusion, when used with shaving gel, the performance is good but as a dry shaver it is not as good as my old one that has worn cutters.

Good Shaver. I had a Phillips 5000 Series, which was great. But the 6000 is even better and a closer shave.

Nowhere on the webpage does it mention it has only a bathroom, 2-pin charger option. Useless for a private home without one of these plug sockets. Will be sending back ASAP and expecting a full refund without delay.

Really good close shave easy to clean like the slower speed button first class

doesn't give the perfect clean shave it promises, still feel faint stubble after a shave
