After 16 months stopped working, Philips customer service replaced, now replacement stopped working after 6 months, this does not give me confidence in buying a new one, what a shame as did like the Philips Electric toothbrush, would not buy again, other brands have a better shelf life

I really liked this product, but for what it cost, I expect it to last more than two or three years. It simply died on me and as out of warranty I am faced with having to buy another. Not good enough !!!

My electric toothbrush suddenly stopped working, it wouldn't start when I pressed the button. Tried charging it, but still dead. in general I have found that Philips toothbrushes are effective teeth cleaners but are unreliable products. This is my third electric toothbrush that has had a problem.

Thought it should last longer than this. But I still like the product.

Now on my third Philips tooth brush having had two of these type, battery failure in both within the warranty period and sent back to Philips for a refurbished replacement both of which again had a battery failure and had to be discarded as the warranty period had expired on them, will see how the newer model performs now with a 3 year warranty, here’s hoping it lasts better than the previous two models.

died in a minute over three years. i bought another because I had spare brush heads to use up! I'm switching brands in 3 years, when I can only assume my new one will break.

This has been a good tooth brush and the sonic action is incredible. Disappointingly the rubber covering the on/off switch has disintegrated so, as good as the toothbrush is it no longer turns on and the LED is more on the outside than the inside. Given the price of these brushes I would be reluctant to recommend them to anyone.

I always use Philips Sonicare Electric Toothbrushes. I only gave 3 stars as I did have a couple of problems but Philips aftercare is outstanding therefore the problems have been taken care of. I will always purchase Philips Sonicare for the quality and customer service.

This product excedes all my expectations . I am amazed how much difference it has made to my oral hygiene . great product and wonderful aftersales service

Too slow - old model. Didn't realise this when purchased.

I really like this toothbrush, works brilliantly. The battery life is so good compared to my previous electric toothbrush (different make).

I bought this brush as Which? Magazine recommended it as a "best buy" and I've been very pleased with it. It replaced another brush I'd had for several years, this is excellent at cleaning and the battery lasts for ages. It was also reasonably priced, so nothing to complain about at all!

People with dexterity problems, for example after spinal injury

We have had electric toothbrushes for a number of years. We purchased the new SONIC and it is far superior to the model we had. The battery life is incredible.

One drawback my wife and I obviously have separate brushes but unlike other models there is no way to differentiate between the brush heads. We have put a dot of nail varnish on one, blue for boys.

The toothbrush leaves my teeth feeling very clean. However it is very noisy and I feel that it will not last long. Do hope I am wrong.

It was great while it lasted. It died just after the 3 years. Would be nice if the battery was replaceable.

I didn't get to even finish the first use. The vibrations are horrendous and make it a very painful experience, this was recommended by my dentist. Ian

The bristles are shaped well and fit to the teeth providing a good clean.

It might be a good idea to cover the bristle head with a soft material so that when the user catches the hard plastic on the teeth not being cleaned, it doesn't feel like something is trying to drill into your teeth! I really don't like that 'shock'

Otherwise the toothbrush gives a really good clean, the best I have used
