Arguably the best trimmer I've ever had. The vacuum makes clean up much easier.

The issue is that the battery stopped holding a charge within the warranty period. Philips then replaced it with another, which had the battery go even sooner.

I had bought the generation before this and found the vacuum was great. However after about 7/8 months the plastic clip had broken on the side.

Then I bought this model too, and the clip also broke! And that was only after 6 months use . Not impressed !

The vaccuum is great as does help, however the clips which attach the trimmer head are two weak plastic pieces which break so easily - and have done so on TWO of these which I bought. I thought this was bad luck at first so bought another, but exactly the same thing happened. A brand like Philips should not be shipping poor quality products like this- especially at the price point for this product.

With this product not being waterproof it is very difficult to clean. This is made worse by the awful design of the hair collection chamber which has awkward sides and nooks that hairs get stuck in. This trimmer also wears out easily and the blades become blunt, it now takes several strokes to trim any hair after six months of use. The vacuum system works ok but some hairs will still fall, making it pretty useless. Would not recommend. My second wasted Philips product.

The battery life is good for over 2 weeks use for me. I do my beard several times a week. The length adjuster is easy to use and very accurate. Not the easiest to clean but doable, brush supplied is a must

It’s compact and doesn’t do a bad job of trimming the beard. The settings dial is a good feature - much better than the variety of combs needed on my previous trimmer.

The vacuum system does work reasonably well, but it is not that easy to clear hair from the

chamber. It often takes longer cleaning the trimmer and chamber than it takes to trim my beard.

However, Phillips do make good products and whilst this, too, is a good product, the vacuum element is perhaps one feature too far.

This is my second unit and both units fail not because they stop working but because the clips that secure the cutting head are inadequate. A very good trimmer and a vacuum that is a great help spoilt by poor final design.

Purchased BT7000 Dec 2020 to replace older model Philips beard trimmer which did a great job cutting beard for years, but battery failed - I used setting 1. The BT7000 was initially taking at least twice as long as my previous BT as it was missing too many hairs around the chin and elsewhere and having a small amount of scissor tidy-up, but now after 3 months, this is getting worse need to use scissors to do a lot of tidy up. Unfortunately I have reverted to shaving with a razor again while I look for an alternative. In short, all the other complaints about the design I have read I agree with. The vacuum is good, but it compromises the design so badly that it ceases to be what it claims to be, e.g. a "Beard Trimmer"

The BT7500 box is labelled "Beard Trimmer" but it is in fact a stubble trimmer. Like many people, I sport a full-set beard such as is worn by men serving in the British and Dutch Royal Navies. The BT7500 could not be considered fit for purpose for trimming my beard even if I wanted its length to be reduced to the trimmer's 10mm longest cut. I could not recommend this product as a beard trimmer. It was only after unpacking the product and searching for information online that I fully appreciated the BT7500's limitations and didn't actually use it.

I had another model of BT Philips trimmer which worked perfect until the battery started not holding a charge and quickly dying. I decided to change and upgrade to the vacuum models because it was usually a mess after shaving.

Though the vacuum technology is nice, the design of the hair container makes it hard to clean.

But the worse part is the trimmer itself! The guide is bulky, poorly designed, and made of plastic. It doesn't feel nice on the skin and you can never get the right length nor cut fast. It is definitely not precise as claimed and you will never get the shorter cuts claimed in the manual as the plastic parts above the blade are so thick. It is so huge it is hard to cut in corners like under the nose. I usually have to go there 2-5 times to get all the hair to the same length, if I can access, when my good old messy BT did a perfect job after cutting once.

The clips for the heads are made of plastic and if they don't break, the plastic will change shape so that the head no longer clips after just 6 months of use. I have to tape the head. Know that the trimmer heads are not covered in their 2 years international warranty.

To sum up, the value for money is extremely low.

Cutter head plastic part broke off just after warranty ran off (1 year and 1 month) - very similar as the photo someone else posted here. That means I've used if max. 20 times. I've not forced it whatsoever; the plastic used is too rigid. Planned obsolescence at its best. My previous Philips vacuum trimmer lasted 10 years and was much better quality, more easy to clean and better at precision use. This one is a waste of money, don't buy it.

This was a gift to me to replace my existing trimmer. At first the concept of a vaccum idea is good but the cleaning process has not been thought through. The accompanying brush is just a joke! Furthermore there is no facility to trim the side burns! Otherwise the machine works well and gives a good trim.

Shaves well but little plastic pieces don't last. Broken within 9 months, replaced by Philips then broken again within 1 year. Old vacuum model I had lasted 5+ years, this new one is rubbish in comparison.

Blade head attachment clip broke leaving the trimmer useless, really expected better from Phillips.

Was so excited when I purchased this item but the quality build is appalling for the head. Broken already after 8 months of use. What a joke for something that costs so much.

When I first got the product, I really thought this was a big improvement on the previous design where both the latch on the hair collection compartment and the adjustable comb across the blades always broke/snapped. However the weakness in design has just been moved from those two pieces of plastic to two new pieces of plastic, namely the method by which the two interchangeable cutting heads latch onto the trimmer. After only 4 months use, one of the main trimmer head's two latches broke off, and after another 4 months of just using the precision trimmer, one of its latches broke off and the other one bent making it unusable. Obviously this has been reported by many others now with pictures, but I've added mine anyway. Annoyingly I can't find the receipt and spare parts seem unavailable, so I guess I'll have to look elsewhere!

Akku tuntuu silti riittävän hyvin, kun joutuu pitempään ajelemaan. Muuten hyvä, mutta vielä kun leikkaisi kerralla kunnolla.

Received this as a Xmas present and to begin with was excellent. I like the way you can adjust the trim to your desired length. Unfortunately the design isn’t so good. After only four months use (once a week) the attachment disengages during use. After looking at previous reviews it seems as I’m not the only one who has had this issue. Shame really as it’s a decent trimmer when it works properly. For the price I’d expect better. Have bought cheap ones before that have lasted four times longer.

Problem is the metal blade is held in by very weak plastic clips which break under almost no pressure.

Shaver head is a poor design - clips that hold the head on break far to easily. I've had 2 shavers in 12 months now. Replacement heads are almost as dear as the shaver. It's also far too easy to move the wheel and change the length when you're shaving.

I just got it but seeing the change of the design makes me believe that this one is going last a lot longer than my previous.

I have been very pleased with this product, until that is the head broke. I have two small pieces of plastic in my hand and no idea what they have broken off. But the shave no longer works.
