Sony UBP-X500 Smart Ultra HD Blu-ray -soitin

Our old Blu-ray had developed a colour fault so we decided to get a new one. The advances in the load speed, image quality and overall look of the unit against our old machine we're amazing. In a way I'm glad the old one went wrong.

The UBP-X500 is a nice compact and capable BluRay, CD and SACD player that supports a number of different audio and video formats. My only 2 complaints are that it lacks a screensaver option when used to play SACDs (My TV has to be on to enable the HDMI on my receiver) and it doesn't support some audio formats when playing content from USB that my TV does support.

Very good value unit. Sound and picture excellent delivering 4k UHD without over complicating the menu.

Bought this item about a month ago. Does what it says on the box. Easy to set up, if connected to a television and not direct to the internet you will need to plug it in to the internet every 6 months or so to get any updates. Running is quiet . No issues at all.

Good player great picture and sound just a shame that you cannot change to a full picture as sony recommends on so many new oled tvs

I love it. Picked up some of the classics on Blu-ray and I’ve had a field day. Haven’t stopped using it. Nice design, smooth disc transaction and great quality pictures. Happy days!
