Great for a smaller room.
Paired with the sound bar 700 in a room c. 15m2. Great and can go loud. Granted it’s not as deep as the 700 module, but, it does the trick and is a very worthwhile add on to the soundbar.
Great sound for its size
So i got the Bass module to go along with my soundtouch 300 soundbar as it was supposedly compatible. I must admit i couldn't pair it up wirelessly so have it connected with the cable which isn't a big deal as the Bass Module is tucked away behind the TV however the wireless rear speakers paired up without a problem.
One thing i have to say though is the sound is just what I come to expect from Bose it is clear an punchy and no distortion even with the volume turned up. In fact have had to reduce the bass level from normal as it was a bit much but i think that is because the room has wood floors and minimal soft furnishings. I have other soundtouch products so this is a great compliment to everthing else
Overall I would recommend this, i'm certainly happy with my purchase
Compact, sleek and very effective!
I have this along with the 500 sound bar and it accompanies it very well. The bass it adds gives the depth that the sound bar on it's own misses.
I have this connected up to TV as my sound system for movies, general TV and gaming. I have used this to replace my floor standing speakers in order to save space and this has worked out very well. The volume is connected through my TV remote and allows me to control it all through one remote although sometimes the sound bar doesn't come on immediately and I have to use the dedicated bose remote to turn it on. I'm not sure yet why this is but it's not a huge issue to overcome.
The design is as good as you come to expect from bose and has this sleek/stealth look to it.
Very clear sound
Enjoyed playing and listening to the sounds with this, played some heavy bass and no crackles occurred. Looks very stylish and minimalistic.
Good things come in small packages
Was surprised with the slight size at first but true to their reputation Bose deliver on quality... used it for sports, movies and music and have yet to be disappointed... good sound quality across the range and looks smart in front of the tv
Must have with Bose Soundbar
I received this Bass Module just over a month ago and I am very impressed.
A point to be noted is that this is a COMPLEMENTARY ITEM to the Soundbar, and I cannot stress the complementary enough. I am a university student and my dorm is kitted out with some of the latest in smart speaker technology. This fit really well with the Bose Soundbar 500 (which I have reviewed independently). It adds a much needed Bass punch to the already amazing sounding Soundbar. You can control the intensity of the sound via the Bose Music App and it works seamlessly. The setup was a bit of a hassle but once paired, it works wirelessly all the time. The power cord is quite short so keep that in mind if thinking of purchasing this for your setup.
Really happy with the product.

Good sound for a small Base Speaker
This small base subwoofer speaker can make you having doubts if it will make any justice when playing a good movie with Atmos or HDR sound or a good base music but when you paired with your Bose soundbar without or with wireless connection or any other centre speaker the sound that comes from it is really good. The sound effects really make a better sound experience, it doesn't matter which side of the room you are you can still feel it that base you always wanted from a small subwoofer.
Great Sub
I have been using the Bose Bass Module 500 for about 3 or 4 weeks now and the performance really is excellent. Regardless of if you are listening to music, watching movies or even sport, this Bose Bass module is sure to leave you impressed! The product looks very smart and is discreet enough to not intrude in your room. I was also impressed with the compatibility with Amazon's Alexa and the ability to conenct my Spotify and Amazon Music accounts directly. A great compliment to the Bose Soundbar 500 That I have.
Pleasantly surprised
For a small unit, this packs a punch. The setup was painless, it paired via the app, with the soundbar in a minute.
This is my first experience of a bass module and I have to say I've been impressed. The bass does not overpower the viewing or listening experience, it just adds to it.
There is a deep rumble when it is on, that you notice, but it does not distract you. I've got so use to it now, that the unit is on all the time. Bass notes in music are sharp and it with it being a true wireless device, it can be placed anywhere in your room and work without issue.
Brings a new bass of meaning...
What can you say, it’s Bose Bass Module 700, it’s an average speaker, it a bass to make things
loud….? No!
Why do I say no, well let's just add more… It’s light, it’s a perfect design, from the moment you take
the bass, you know you paid for premium. The wonders are that all you need to find a power outlet.
Once you connect power and open the Bose Music app either on Android or Apple device, settings
and then ‘Accessory Speakers’. Select the ‘Add Bose Accessory Speaker’s and found and adds the
module within seconds. Run the ADAPTiQ so its suitable for the room. It is the greatest sound you
will ever hear. The sound fills my bedroom with bass that does not feel overpowering. You can tell
you bought premium and It brought my TV back to life and feeling like I am back in the cin
Awsome addition - with knock out bass!
Wow. Music hasn’t sounded so good in our household.
We have this connected to the Bose 500 sound bar, the sound quality, supported by the bass module is absolutely fantastic!
I found the set up easy via the app, once the soundbar was connected it was a few simple clicks to connect the bass module which was instantly discovered.
The amazing thing with both the sound bar and bass module is that they can now do it all - play our music using Alexa and provide an incredible experience when watching movies and sport! Super impressed, as have our family and friends been.
It looks very sleek too and neatly slots in with our furniture.
Big Bass!!
Build quality is great and it really looks great!
Set up was troublesome, you have to pair with the sound bar using the app and took 3 or 4 attempts, I eventually turned it off from the mains and back on again to successfully pair.
The bass is brilliant it really puts a smile on your face every time you get a deep rumble. You can adjust the volume in the app and i have never needed to go anywhere near the max. Music is great with tight punchy bass! Probably its best trait is at low volumes. You can really enjoy the soundbar and sub at low volumes and the bass is always present without overpowering the mids and highs. It would be nice if you could adjust the volume of the sub from the remote instead of going into the app, although once set up i haven't found the urge to adjust.
All About That (Bose) Bass!
About as easy as easy can be to set up, being Wireless, and once the Soundbar is up and running connecting the Bass Module up via the companion app is a doddle. It’s basically Plug n’ Play, folks.
Having listened to just the Soundbar first, the difference when using the Bass module is incredible. Not just LOUD, but beautifully deep and resonant, distortion free bass frequencies massaging your ear-brains. I’d say you COULD just use the Soundbar, but when the combo sounds this good, why would you?!
Match made in sound heven!
I am seriously impressed with the bass that is produced from such a small unit. This is one impressive boom box that pairs up with the soundbar 500 perfectly. The rumbles and dull tones hit all the right spots and really add to the whole sound experience. Watching action films with this unit really brings the sound to life.
Being wireless you can hide it just about anywhere in the room. All it needs is a plug socket for power and you're away.
Setup is all done from the Bose Music app, once added as an accessory to the soundbar its possible to alter the bass intensity, which is a nice feature.
Build quality is of a high standard, and you can expect the usual sleek design Bose bring to their products. I would highly recommend this to anyone who currently owns the soundbar 500. The difference is amazing.
Bass with quality
I am a great fan of Bose products which I have throughout most rooms of my house. As such I was keen to see if their Bass Module 500 could add to the sound quality of the Soundbar 500 that I am currently using.
On unpacking the quality of the Bass Module is well within that usually experienced from Bose products and the Module complements the Soundbar perfectly. The unit is relatively small and makes one wonder if the bass output could be much improved over the Soundbar itself.
The very basic one page instruction manual basically tells you to power up the Module and then connect it to the Soundbar using the Bose Music App. No cable is used to connect the two devices as wireless is used. Connection occurred automatically without problem. Once connected the ADAPTIQ device that had been used initially to set up the Soundbar to the room is used to make any changes to the set up required for the Bass Module.
Once connected all I can say is that the sound quality is significantly improved and that I will not be using the Soundbar again without the Bass Module connected. Despite feeling that the Soundbar alone was providing a rich sound experience, using the Bass Module adds a whole new level to the quality of sound in the room. This effect is particularly noticeable with movies and music, but can also be heard in “normal” TV programmes.
I can thoroughly recommend the Soundbar 500 to anybody in the market for a new or replacement soundbar, but if you can afford the additional Bass Module then a further sound dimension is added.
Feel the bass!
This sleek bass module is a great accessory to any soundbar!! I have it set up behing my sofa and can really feel the rumble from the sub even with it turned down to 60 in the Bose music app (which is very user friendly). I did have a little trouble connecting the sub to the soundbar after I moved it but after what felt like 20 tries it kicked into life and have had no issues since. You’ll get no problems with this turned up to full with music on or anything else for that matter! The deep bass carries itself very well at any level, a must have!!
Boom Boom Pow!
When paired with the Bose Soundbar this delivers a fantastic punch and significantly improves the overall experience and sound quality.
Setup was a doddle after having already configured the Bose app for use with the Soundbar. Simply set the app to scan mode and it will detect the Bass module and that's it and with only one power cable to plug in it couldn't be easier.
The look and feel of the speaker is as you would expect from Bose and really looks the part.
A perfect partner for the soundbar!
Thundering bass
The bass module is an amazing partner to have with the sound bar. IT adds depth to the sound, and you can feel the rumbling throughout the room. It emerses you fully. You can also turn the bass up and down using the app which I loved. This is essential if buying the soundbar.
Worth the effort!
I took delivery of the Bass Module 500 and Soundbar two weeks ago and experienced a few initial teething issues, including problems with the wrong Bose Apps (would only work the Bose Music App not Bose Connect?) and problems linking the Soundbar to the Bass Module.
However once connected (with help from a friend) the combined units transformed our listening experience. The units are connected to our open plan kitchen/diner TV which had previously produced very 'tinny' echoing sound from its position on the wall, now produce deep rich sound tones to accompany music, films and my partners soaps! Additionally, we found Bluetooth connection to mobile phones incredibly easy. As always with Bose products I'm very pleased overall with quality, sound and appearance!
A rumbling success
Setting up was easy via the Bose Music App, I had to use IOS though rather than android as android just would not connect to my Soundbar 500. To connect you just switch it on and search for an accessory. It took a few minutes to connect but that wasn’t a problem. It was also very easy to control via the IOS app but again android was absolute pants. Whenever I did manage to connect to the soundbar the on/off switch for the module was missing apart from the first day I set it up. It was always visible in IOS.
Connection has for the most part been very stable, it has only lost connectivity to the soundbar once and a quick reboot sorted that out.
Performance wise the Bass module is outstanding, you can actually feel the vibrations filling the whole room. I do feel it is more suited to a larger room than mine though, I could probably live without it as the bass from the soundbar is more than adequate.
Listening to movies is a joy, every rumble is heard and felt and gives an excellent cinema sound experience. Adding the additional rear speakers would really set it off as well. Music wise I have to turn the bass down as I am not really into a heavy bass sound but as I said this is very easy to do (on IOS). Those of you who like bassier tones will love this
Sound Bar and Module
The sound bar and module combined produces a great quality sound. The set up itself did prove to be quite difficult in linking the 2 together, however we eventually worked it out and got it set up. Both the Sound Bar and Module are designed well and they suit well in our lounge. It has a built in Alexa, however i was disappointed that it would not connect directly to spotify as it states it isn't supported even after connecting my phone to the device. Overall it is a great bit of kit and i would recommend to anyone that is considering a sound bar.
Got that bass feeling
I have this sub paired up with the Bose soundtouch 500 sound bar and the difference it makes is great the app has the feature to turn the bass up more than the standard setting so if you are like me and you want an extra punch to your music or the film or even the tv programme that you are watching then you can certainly feel it in a nice way. It’s definitely worth the extra money to enhance your sound bar
Great tool, but could be better
The Bose Bass Module 500 and Soundbar 500 wireless surround speakers sounds awesome and produces high quality acoustics with optimized sound. It features the Amazon Alexa voice commands build in which allows you to play your favourite songs anytime of the day. It also gets latest weather report and news feeds. Nonetheless, as with any other voice command, you would need to speak clearly and may have to repeat a few times before it works. Nevertheless, when it works, its flawless. I also connected it to my mobile device and it can be used as a remote control. The Bose 500 module requires the Soundbar 500 and together they work very effectively, via Bluetooth and WiFi. The designs is a robust but a bit too simple for a smart device. It also gathers dust relatively quickly, so be aware of that. Pairing up is not as easy as it should have been, but once it work, then its amazing!
