Good build quality, but...Arvosana 3/5
It looks good and feels good on touch, however, in reality it looks slightly bigger than the one in the commercial/video. I guess it depends on how big room you will use it in, if the room is rather small then you will feel that this device is taking quite some space.
The sound, I guess this also depends a little bit on the size of your room and the furniture. Frankly speaking, it's pretty loud, you won't be able to sleep or listen to the TV with this device within 3-meter radius from you and the cooling function turned on. I have been using noise-cancelling headphones / earplugs along with this device. But I don't know if the other devices are even more loud than this one, because based on the specs this one should be relatively quiet.
The cooling, well, it's not very powerful comparing to the other products on the market. This one is only 9000btu, and around 950w, so it doesn't consume that much energy. However, due to the mediocre cooling power, it will take longer to cool the room, so at the end there might not be that much difference... I have been using this one since two weeks ago in my living room (last week it was 30 degree outside), and it typically cools the room to about 26 degree.
