Have to get lucky with PreSonus' QAArvosana 3/5
I got these speakers 3 years ago. They had an unpleasant +10db spike at ~115-130hz, and several people on PreSonus forums have reported the same issue. This spike makes them sound "boomy" and not at all how a studio monitor should sound. I should have returned them, but I was too lazy and instead just used REW and Equalizer APO to correct this. Be mindful of it, and do a warranty return if yours exhibit it!
Now, 3 years later, speakers started making high-pitched noise, which was getting louder every day. Since they were out of warranty, I opened them up and found two failed capacitors.
Apart from these issues, with proper room correction they sound like a good budget studio monitors.
