I bought this for myself for Christmas and totally love it. I have always wanted to use a DSLR and glad I went with canon. I am still learning but feel it's the perfect first camera for a beginner!

I bought it because it says you can use it with all the Speedlite series but, when I set flashes off the camera, the slave mode is not functioning, it doesn't recognise Speedlites.

I bought this camara around a month ago. So far so good. I can't fault it. Is easy to use, bieng able to connect it to my phone is a massive bonus

I bought this camera to try a new hobby. There’s a lot to learn and I’m letting the camera do the hard work at the moment, but I’m learning slowly so the camera must be user friendly.

Amazing wee camera. Manual very comprehensive and easy to understand. Buttons self-explanatory and easy to use menu system. Display screen is great, clear views of photos and easy to zoom in and zoom out. WiFi function is brilliant for easily transferring photos to your phone via the Canon app. Great value. Had to buy SD cards separately.

This my second Canon EOS camera. I was happy with my first which is now being used by my son, so it was a natural choice to stay with Canon

Just bought this camera today. Never owned a camera before this EOS 2000d, except for the disposables back in 1990's or my iPhone. I really regret not buying this before. It feels solid and well made. The buttons are not loose, and feel like a BMW or a German Engineered car...it is Japanese engineered that is also a high mark of quality. The companion app was easy to set up but what's annoying and I can't still get is how to set up my MacBook Pro (2017) to this camera. I downloaded a drive with 4 apps within it and it's so convoluted to use, that I just gave up. Now I'm looking for some sort of cable to use, since I have a MacBook Pro with USB Type C (USB-C) and this camera has USB ports. I really just want to plug and transfer, and I feel this is the only lacking feature. Canon really ought to focus on this. I guess I can buy a SD card reader for my MacBook Pro but why would I do that? Ah...just wish Canon created a simple laptop sharing app or at least provided FAQ page for users with Macs or Windows computers.

I bought this so that I could take better quality photos, especially outside. Whenever I zoom in to take a close up it doesn’t take the close up image. You just get a far away picture. Defeat’s the whole point of why I bought it.

The possibillities are endless (for me) only have the camera a week, bought with a 18-55 mm lens would love to get the 18-135 with it if bought as a package, that is the only negative point. have ordered the ef-s 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Nano USM lens and will expand in due course.

But for rambling as I do, with our dogs, a fast lens that reacts quickly, for the time being I will be happy with the standard lens.

The wifi is excellent and the download from camera to my smart phone is rapid and smooth, it great to be able to send quality photos without the hastle of changing chips, from the camera to the phone.

Still have to study on a few points (only have it a week) but have gotten some cracking photos with the lens that came with the camera, I find 18-55 super lens it is fast enough, but I always need that bit more, that is I think always the case, between the 18-200 as it has some disadvantages and the difference is little between the 18-135 (i got the IS Nano USM), I chose this one for the silence, speed and good quality all rounder.

Quality of pictures is fa-bu-lous, the camera is compact and light (compared with my old Nikon D90 and the lens I had while good, lens is steel excellent lens but heavy after two hours carrying it and getting heavier) all controlls are easy to work clear. A good choice of exposure modes, on the dial, top of the camera, I tend to keep it in auto most of the time as I usually need to take fast pictures but there is endless possibillities to satisify most people. The AF is responsive, fast enough for my use , the exposure sharp and clear took the same picture with my smartphone and the Canon, no comparison, that is why I am happy with the wifi transfers, i will take my camera now more with me esspecially when the new lens arrives, its light easy to use, programmes are easy to follow even a friend that has no patience with cameras, got interested.

So all and all 9 out of 10 from me (one deducted as I think as a package the 18-135 lens should be included) As this camera is aimed for the interested beginner upwards, sell a lens with it that gives more, after that you as camera owner can but the lenses that you would like, at your own time as this will satisfy even a more experienced camera user from the moment you take it out of the box!!

This was a Christmas present which replaced my previous Canon 400D. I find it so easy to use nothing complicated.

It does what it says on the tin. Photography has been a hobby of mine since I was 10. I really do not need a camera that is bristling with features and this one replaces my 1300D. For me, photography lies with the photographer; the camera is merely the brush with which you do your painting. Just as in painting, 5-8 basic colours do the trick.

I bought this last month and I literally did not know anything of photography. Lots of features and great photos, using it to practice an hour a day and Zit has never let me down.
