The electric grill is great so far. My condo complex no longer allows propane or gas, so I had to retire my propane Q and get the electric. It heats up fast, is very easy to use and you get that nice grilled flavor. Basically the same as the gas grills but no propane needed.

I’ve had Weber grills for ever. When I moved to my my location charcoal and gas grills were not allowed on our decks. The Q1400 was the logical choice. I still have my Smokey Joe for camping.

After trying some others, I find this grill to be a more than adequate replacement for the now-banned gas grill at my apartment complex. I would give it a solid "5", except for the inconvenient placement of the heat control knob. It is on the right side under the lifting handle. It is so close that I have to contort my hand to turn it. I don't have large hands, so I believe that this would be a problem for most users. I could also cite the lack of a temperature gauge on the lid, except that it is cheap and easy to add one of my choice.

I love the grill…I detest the Warranty Service…it is non existent after 1 year of usage. No response back after answering the base teams questions. They moved up to a higher level of support and it all went quiet! I did decide to purchase the same grill again in hopes that someday I would hear back from Weber Support! Wrong!!!! Their grill is great when it works…their service is awful…beware!

Just as good as the gas version (Q1200) we use at home! Bought this for our beach condo where propane is prohibited. Once the cast iron grill plates are seasoned, I expect there to be little to no difference in the results on everything from salmon to London broil. It’s perfect for two but can scale up for a larger group with ease. Just wish it had a thermometer like the Q1200. Oh, and no non-stick coating to flake off on to your food like you’ll find on cheaper electric grills.

I moved into a condo that only allowed electric grills. I thought, are you kidding. I found out about the Weber electric and thought, I loved my Genesis so let’s try it. Wow! I’ve cooked everything from hot dogs to BBQ ribs on this grill. It’s no cheap made grill, it’s quality. I’d recommend it if you can’t have a traditional grill. It is now 6 years old!

The Weber electric grill takes some adjustment from using a gas grill. It heats more alowly and doesn’t seem to get quite as hot but it is solid, durable and perfect dor grilling at a condo complex with gas grill restrictions

Works great as, by law, we can’t have a gas grill!

Love the size, the ease of use, and the sturdiness of this Webber. Perfect for our rental home.

We do like our electric bbq because our condo does not allow propane.. Our problem is that the temperature controller power cord is very difficult to plug in and even more so when removing it. Is there something we can do to make it easier?

As close to a charcoal or gas grill as you can get.

I’m into my third Weber grill since 2005, and have thoroughly enjoyed each! Most recent is the Electric 1400, first time going that route, because apartment we moved into doesn’t allow any open flame grilling - and am pleased with its performance! Its compact size and footprint makes it fit neatly into our seventh floor apartment balcony alongside our two comfy patio chairs.

We have an all electric RV and I didn't want to carry propane so I thought I would try an electric grill. I was worried it wouldn't cook as well as the propane version but this grill does a good job. Charcoal is still my favorite grilling method to get the smokey flavor in the meat but this electric is a good alternative and easier to use.

I’ve had this grill for six years and it is a gem. Ideal for situations where electric grilling is an option. Easy to clean, compact, reliable and doesn’t take up a lot of space. Happy to recommend this product to potential buyers

We decided to have this "little" grill on our condo balcony for small gatherings. Very pleased with its performance as within a few minutes it reaches the temp high enough to produce a quality grilled sausage, hamburgers and steaks!

The size is perfect for an apartment patio grill. Heats well and evenly. For me the best feature is it can be relatively easily cleaned which is important for my patio use. The grill plates are in 2 sections and the liner under the heating element is easily removed for cleaning and these can be readily taken inside for cleaning.

No instructions on HOW OR WHERE TO TURN IT ON. Stand does not securely attach to grill...and vice versa.

It is a great little electric grill but I wish it had a temperature gauge.

My condo association does not allow gas grills on the balcony. But I like to grille. The Weber Q1400 is the perfect tool. It works great for grilling for two people. Weber quality. Compact size. And it does a really good job for a small electric grill. I am very happy.

This is my second Weber 1400. When a gas grill is not allowed, just turn on high for 15 min and you get nice meat char and browning quickly.

The grill does an excellent job of heating up & gives a real grill taste. I wish it displayed the temperature & the “bowl” under the heating element is difficult to remove for cleaning.

600$ and it doesn t work. Not at all happy.
