All these people crying about the problems ! Its a tv get over it things dont last a life time anymore they are compact and the sound black screen is probably the t-con board short on a capacitor

The lights are a real nice addition, you can change how bright they are and what they react to, and the image quality itself if bright and crisp, you will need to tinker with the picture settings out the box to your liking.

After less than having this TV 3 yrs it has now got a vertical shadow down one side of the screen. Would expect a TV to last longer than this.

Picture quality is good, but my god the interface!!! It freezes all the time, sometimes it takes ages to recognise the internet, it's cluncky when navigating... And when on the TV programme it doesn't have the time...wft... On occasion if I push channel up it will jump straight to a radio station for no reason... The list goes on (and on and on). After 36 month I have had enough and am going to buy a new one... The TV before this was a Sony Bravio which lasted me 5 years... Not even two with this this one .... Never again will I be going near Philips products!

and with for price I was expecting it to last more than 2years.

I watch my tv 1 or twice a week as I am most of the time working outside of my city. the tv have been used less than 500hours .

software are uptodate. yesterday the tv start flickering, and then black screen. audi and backlight still working. when I turn of and turn on the tv, it works few minutes and the screen get black again.

I unpluged , but still the same issue.

When I googled my issue I was surprise to see the number of customers that have the exact same problem.

I am very very disapointed as this hapen ust 1 month after the end of the waranti.

this is obvious that the issue is a planned obsolescence

The product is well built, with a sharp and clear picture that is vibrant and full of rich colours that pop out. Added with the ambilight it takes viewing to another level. No longer does it feel limited to the border of the TV, the picture spreads around the room with ambilight.

There is no, but or at least any noticeable delay with the ambilight following the picture. Also night time viewing has helped with reducing eye strain and tiredness.

There are enough hdmi connection ports for your needs, I currently have Sky Q, Nvidia Shield and a PS4. Sound quality is not bad, not brilliant but you can't expect a TV to be thin, have ambilight and then have powerful speakers. All it all its a purchase I have not regretted.

I primarily bought this TV for the ambilight feature which does work brilliantly. The picture is really good but I had to fight the settings every step of the way in order to get watching comfortably, the contrast settings were so ridiculously high you could barely make anything out if something is set at night and you're watching during daylight hours.

The biggest problem I have found unfortunately the audio is lagging behind the video in every mode I have tried and with every app I have tried. I have spent countless hours now trying different settings to fix the issue but I am beaten.

The audio is lagging by about 1.6 milliseconds which may not sound like much but once you notice it, you can't unsee it.

It's noticeable on every type of programme but is particularly bad when tying to watch gigs/concerts as the audio lags behind the musicians which is incredibly distracting. Also watching any standard film/TV show is difficult as the audio also behind the actors' lip movement.

There are audio delay options for external audio equipment but they only work one way, which would effectively make the audio delay even MORE apparent. Besides which, I refuse to resort to buying more equipment to fix a problem with the TV itself.

All it would have taken would have been for settings where you could define video delay and a perfect sync could be dialed in.

The remote is also not very user friendly, I feel I have to really mash every single button in order for it to register.

The OS/Menu settings system is also quite slow and annoying to use. Do we really need three different types of contrast settings?

Without the sync problems I would have given this 4/5. As it is I cannot recommend this product to others.

If Philips can't suggest a work around I will be forced to return it to the store.

I always liked Philips TVs.

It was very easy to setup and quickly get it up and running.

Out of the box the sound and picture were sufficient and only needed a bit of tweaking to get it even better.

But the ambilight is a great feature , it makes the picture even bigger, anyone thats seen the feature thinks its great.

Very good picture quality, after using the ambilight feature you would never want to go back to conventional viewing, had a few little issues, T.V kept turning itself on after being turned off (rectified by unplugging set) and it keeps wanting to turn itself off even though the setting is for continuous viewing.

The sound quality is also better than expected.

a great picture, sound and love the 3 sets of lights around the tv.

The lights make a lovely ambience in the room as well as enhancing the picture.

it's connected to my Virgin box so don't use the smart features very often

Very happy with tv.very easy to gets started. Love the remote controls.

nicely designed tv, looks the part in our lounge. Great picture, takes a little setting up, but when it’s rights it’s very good. Both 4K and HDR are amazing.

The ambilight is a good touch and something I didn’t think we would use but we have.

Caveats - tv suffers from motion issues but cycling through the picture styles when first turning on the tv gets rid of the issue.

Also tv makes a loud popping noise when switching from PCM to Dolby, emailed Philips and was told it was a known issue and Fox was coming.

Overall very satisfied, even with the issues. I initially had a Rivals TV in the same price bracket but swapped it for this and it knocks spots off it.

Great picture

I found navigating easy although slow by todays standards.

Sound good through TV speakers but through a Philips sound bar the TV beeped if set on sky Q digi box so disabled that.

All in all a fantastic TV for the price, I have a old Philips TV with ambilight only on the sides but this TV does it with sides and top and I find it adds to viewing experience mainly with films but with normal TV creates a nice atmosphere. Wish I could afford their latest TV's, perhaps they would be kind enough to send one for me to review, would love to be one of those lucky people who do. Anyway a thoroughly great TV for the price.

I wanted to get a UHD television so I bought this model after seeing good reviews. As had been reported it took a bit of effort to get it set up initially. If you aren't technically-minded you may need to do some research to find the best settings and what they all do. Once set up though, the performance is very good. It is certainly a step change from my last television.

Kesti muutamia päiviä, että sain kuvan vihdoin mieleisekseni ja nyt olen tyytyväinen. En tiennytkään uusien televisioiden olevan näin monipuolisia säädöiltään. Netissä olen kolmella eri tavalla. Apple tv, iPadin kuvan siirrolla (airplay) ja tietenkin itse (smart)teeveen kautta. Tällaisella, ei enää teinillä, on ihmettelemistä kun ohjelmaa tulee sieltä ja täältä, myös sovelluksien kautta.

Ambilight on parhaimmillaan vaaleaa pintaa vasten ja sijoitettuna takaseinään (etteivät ledit näy). Kuva tavallaan laajenee perusasetuksessa, mutta on myös eri vaihtoehtoja. Haluttu väri seinää heijastamaan (vaikka tv suljettuna) ym. Kaikki kaukosäätimestä. Ja tietenkin halutessa saa myös muutkin Hue järjestelmän valot vaihtumaan samaan tahtiin. Lapset varmasti siitä pitävät, mutta vanhukset eivät ehkä niinkään.

Kaukosäädintä on hämärässä muotoilunsa vuoksi hankala käyttää, usein tulee ihmeteltyä ”mitä kummaa...” kunnes huomaa vain kapulan olevan väärinpäin kädessä.
