Most washer dryers including my old AEG only take a 4Kg load to wash and dry, I bought this machine mainly as it could wash a 12kg load or wash & dry an 8kg load which was the largest I’d ever seen. While expensive compared to other washer dryers when considering the load it could take and all the extra features such as steam cleaning I thought it would be worth the investment.

Since it was installed it’s been brilliant in terms of its cleaning & drying, it’s fairly quiet and things I though would be a gimmick such as downloading programs from the internet to the machine have proved to be useful and I easily give this 5 stars.

Even with 5 stars there are a few things you should know:- The machine including door depth and rear piping is lightly deeper than other washing machines, it’s less than a cm but caused some fitting issues; There is only one program space available for downloaded programs so each time you want to use a different program from online you need to download, having 3 spaces would be better.

The controls on the door take some getting used to mainly to know

which areas are display, which function buttons and what all the icons mean.

I haven’t used it yet but it looks soo nice well done LG it’s so pretty

Overall, the machine works very well. The drying cycles take a lot of time but I was aware of this feature before I bought the machine. I have not yet understood how to create my own programs to the phone application, and you apparently cannot modify the temperature of the included ones on the phone either (e.g. cotton 30 degrees instead of 40).

Be sure to do an empty wash first, including drying. The dryer stinks of warm/hot plastic and this will linger for a while. Even if you use softener with strong flower smells, you will not smell it at all due to the burnt plastic smell. That's a shame. The websites claim this will go away after 20 washes. I don't think that's acceptable.

Some of the programmes are extremely long. On the washes where it weighs the load, I often get a wash of approx 4 hours, when if I reset and try again, the wash is alot shorter. Engineer said that this was a design feature.
