I absolutely loved this pump back when I was using it. It was so helpful, handy, easy to use, easy to clean and it can be used with either the right or left hand.

The suction was perfect and it was you can control this easily with how fast or slow you pump.

I also love the fact that you can attach different bottles onto the pump. This made things easy for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a really great pump, it is only small but is very powerful, just as good as an electric one in my opinion. It is nice and compact so great for travelling or using at work. I found that even though it is powerful it doesn't cause any discomfort.

I’ve the electric version too which I’ve also got on really well with but wanted a manual one for when I’m away from my baby and unable to use my plug in one. If I’m honest this manual one is much easier to use and quicker. I managed to get 4oz in less than 15 minutes. It’s easy to disassemble for sterilising and to put back together again. Easy to transfer milk to another bottle if your baby doesn’t get on with the Avent ones. Mine doesn’t make a squeaky noise like some reviews state. I’ve personally experienced a little discomfort with this pump but it’s isn’t painful or unbearable but this could be worse if it took longer for me to express. Regardless however I’d definitely recommend this pump to others.

That's not the case at all! It was not at all painful, I felt no discomfort. And i am able to express a good amount in one sitting.

Before this I was trying to hand express which was very very slow and just not very efficient so this is wonderful.

You have to take all the parts off to clean it which I think is the same for an electronic one, that's a bit of a bother but that's just because I'm lazy. I'm mostly breastfeeding so I don't need to sterilise many bottles but I'm still lazy.

I would highly recommended this item.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very handy little pump to assist in breast feeding especially when out and about and on the go. No wires means I can express anyway and the size of the pump is perfect- not too big and holds a devent amount of milk in the bottle provided. I love that I can controll the suction so no painful experiences unlike with electric pumps where the suction can be too strong! Very reasonably priced for a household name you can trust, I would reccomend to any breast feeding lady or a new Mum trying to boost their supply! I found I was able to get just as much milk from this as from my electric pump- without the fuss of the wires!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found this Avent pump easier to use than the one that the hospital recommended so I preferred using this one, although sometimes used both to save time. It is reasonably comfortable and easy to use, I found I could pump and go fairly quickly after getting into the correct position (sat upright on the sofa). I would recommend it to any new mum that needs the flexibility of using a breast pump.

Can make a little bit of noise when you start to use it but soon you will find a confortable position which seals the pum then it is practically silent. I can even use at night while my baby is sleeping. It is very small and comfortable to carry as is manual I can take it with me everywhere and use it on demand. Also it gaves you a gentle massage in your nipple area when you are using it no like some more rigids. Really happy with that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The good thing about this manual pump is that you're directly in control of the pumping and can stop, start or change pace instantly and the pump is strong, but the actual act of pressing it requires very little pressure so it alleviates any discomfort on the breast or nipple and it allows the milk to flow easily. I didn't experience any problems with it personally

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am giving 5 stars for the Philips Advent Manual Breast Pump because it’s fantastic! And even though it’s a manual breast pump I find it works really well and doesn’t take much effort. It does the job extremely well. My wife finds the suction is great and it’s very easy and quick to express milk. There’s virtually no pain or discomfort whilst using this. It’s small and handy to take out and about with us and it very easily attaches to the bottle. It’s also very easy to take the parts out and clean. And for these reasons I am super pleased with this pump and can highly recommend it to others.

Is a nice design, the massage cushion is soft and warm and fits perfectly on the breast. Just seat comfortably and express and milk will flow easily from breast straight in the bottle ready for your little baby to enjoy. Is easy to clean and to assemble.

Also the baby has taken to the teeth like a real nipple which is great as sometimes we used to struggle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried various breast pumps but this one does seem to be the best manual one for me. Its easy to use and feels very comfortable. The materials used around the head section sits nicely against the skin. I also found its really easy to clean too. Definitely would recommend this.

Easy to use it, helps that it has a bottle where you can put straight away in it milk from pump. With this manual pump is very important your sitting position, so do it right. Otherwise can't work it for you. I'm really happy with this purchase and quality is amazing. Highly recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I expressed 125ml in 15 mins, to get that much from the manual Avent breast pump I was very surprised as I thought I wouldnt produce as much or i find it too fiddly how wrong was I, it is so much more comfortable to use. Not only can I sit back and relax, it is quiet too! Using the pump didn't make my hand ache either, which I thought it may.

It comes with a small natural teat bottle, which is a nice shape, the bottles of which fit the pump as well. It also comes with a cover for the funnel so you can make the pump up once it's been sterilised and keep it clean and ready for use when you need it.

This is definitely a huge plus for me as I can take it to bed all made up and ready to use first thing in the morning, quietly :-) I would definitely recommend this product, I can see it being a great help to me especially when travelling and will probably extend the time that my little one is given breast milk as it's so easy and best of all comfortable to use.
