Nice and easy to use lightweight we use demineralised water which works fine without a anti scale device but the dial could be clearer

Like the weight of this iron, not too light. Has a good length cord so I can reach to the tip of the ironing board. Heats up quickly, irons well.

I bought this iron to replace a Philips Azur iron that "just stopped working". Really pleased with this one. Very light but not too light. Not sure why a previous reviewer complained about the length of the cord as it is plenty long enough. Glides across all fabrics and compared to my previous iron doesn't give me a steam bath at the same time. Just enough steam seems to come out which is brilliant. Would highly recommend this iron.

This is the second iron I’ve had and I really like them. The sole plate does allow the iron to glide and it also has a longer lead which is useful. The clothes quickly look uncreased after a quick press.

I have been using it for less than a year and I have got already few garments damaged or needed to re-wash. On the highest heat the steam would drip water from time to time, and if I use extra steam it would always drip water. On the level 2 it also drips water and may easily ruin delicate fabrics.

This product had good reviews and is a very good iron however now it is out out of warranty it has stopped working completely. Extremely poor quality, the water is leaking out of it, the blue auto turn off light keeps coming on and now it has died. Do not buy.

Really helpful for the tough clothes and also its head helps to iron easily in between buttons or other tricky areas.

This is our second iron from Philips. Gives plenty of steam to make ironing easy. Just the right weight so you do not need to exert pressure on it. Does the job effortlessly! Cord is very long.

Just one negative: whoever designed the "see" through casing to check the water level never really used this iron. If they did they would have found out it is very difficult to see the amount of water without lifting the iron up!!! This is annoying.

It is really easy to use and makes the job of ironing effortless, The extra long cord also makes it easier to maneuver without getting in the way.

Only gave three stars as I am now on my 3rd replacement as the other two just stopped working.

Other than that I think this product is one of the best I have tried and tested so far.

This iron was used weekly for the past year and then started making fizzing sounds and sparking on the underside of it.

The iron has many good features and I looked at a lot of irons before buying this one. Would be great but you don't expect a quality iron to last just over a year.

The black water tank makes it VERY difficult to see the water level. I always promised my self I would not buy one with this feature but was in a hurry so unable to search further. I do not know why this iron is made like this.

After great satisfaction with previous Philips irons, I was very disappointed with this model. The colour made the icons difficult to distinguish (I am 76!) and although I descaled regularly, the iron started to spit in use. The blanket suggestion of using tap water regardless of local water conditions is not helpful. However, I have replaced this model with a different one (not black!) and hope for some improvement.

It's easy to use but though the extra steam button is still working, (so I know it's clean and I calc clean regularly) when ironing no steam comes out at all so as a steam iron it is now pretty useless. Disappointing.

The iron works well but the steam control button seems loose now. The auto power off is temperamental. Sometimes is doesn't power back on and needs to be left overnight. The main failing is that the water level is almost impossible to see.

This iron is easy to use, except for the water tank. It is black and the water tank is too dark to see how much water is in it, making it difficult to fill and to see how much water is left during use. However, the performance is excellent. I have an Ikea bed set, 100% cotton. With my previous iron it was difficult to produce a good finish, but with the PowerLife it was (almost!) easy.

Bought as a replacement for previous iron of another brand which was leaking water.

This one has failed totally after just over a year.

Only way to see water level is by shining a torch at the tank - how can a design like this be signed off.

Ihan ok silitysrauta keskihintaiseksi laitteeksi. Silitystulos on riittävä. Ainoat omituisuudet ovat liian lyhyt sähköjohto sekä se, että vedentäyttöluukku aukeaa oikeakätiselle väärin päin. Ikävin puoli on tuo musta väri; enpä olisi arvannut ettei mustan läpi pysty mitenkään näkemään paljonko laitteessa on vettä sisällä. Ei näy edes hyvässä valaistuksessa, vaikka säiliö on "läpinäkyvä". Kyllä tällä kuitenkin pärjää :-)

Despite regular de-scaling the iron and wiping the sole plate as instructed and using at the correct temperatures it developed a brown mark on the sole plate. This resulted in dirty marks being transferred on to my ironing.

Also the design of the plug made it very difficult to remove from the mains socket.

Great iron, easy to use makes ironing a doddle.

Love it.Old iron was Philips as well .

I had to return this product as it suddenly died after a single use

Does just what it said on the box

Will always buy Phillips from now on
