Smooth, easy, gets the job done, great design

Very smooth, glides over clothes so easily and gets out those annoying creases and wrinkles and I love the fact it isn’t too heavy so you can keep going without getting arm ache. Instructions are in pictures so you can easily follow and the great thing is you can use tap water instead of buying ironing water so savings to be had there, you just use a calcium button once a month to get rid of any hard water deposits. It got to temperature pretty quickly so no waiting around so long and I love the little add on cord holder, wish I’d had one years ago! Firstly, it is very modern in appearance and very ergonomic. The iron was easy to set up following the instruction booklet supplied. It was extremely easy to use and produced a sufficient amount of steam. It glides over clothes with ease removing all creases easily. There is an automatic temperature setting which is very useful. The de-scale feature is really handy although I didn't require to use it. In summary, this iron is brilliant and I was able to get through my pile of laundry quickly and with ease. Arvosana 5/5[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having used Philips irons before I was pleased to have an opportunity to try this iron out. Firstly, it looks very sleek in black. The manual is so-so but sure we only expect this these days. More pictures than words so be sure to have a good look at the diagrams and you won't go too wrong. Secondly, there was no problem putting water into the iron but because the iron I am using is black, you have to really concentrate to see what level of water you have put in. After that, it's all systems go. The iron is easy to use and is smooth to use with a decent amount of steam. And if you want more steam well you just go ahead and press that button. The automatic temperature setting is a real bonus as is the auto switch off. The cord is pretty long so you won't find yourself stuck to a socket in the wall or the need to really have an extension socket to hand. I suppose one of the main points is that you do not have to pre-set any temperatures. I've found the iron pretty easy to use and the de-scal feature is really handy. I have opted to use bottle water as the water from the tap is quite hard. So, overall what do I think.....to date, it is the most simplistic iron I have had to use and has made a good job of any shirts I have tested with. Arvosana 5/5[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This iron has all the features a decent iron should have. It is not heavy and very easy to use. The manual has got everything. The steam function is great and the crease removal is efficient and the iron itself heats up very quickly. The vertical ironing feature makes it easy to iron hanging clothes such as curtains. The calc release is great for keeping the iron clean. This iron comes with an extra accessory to keep the wire from getting tangles while ironing and i think this is a very useful feature. The iron looks heavy but its not heavy at all. The buttons are legible and easy to see and use. Easy to hold non slip handle. The anti scratch sole plate was very big and easy to slide along garments with a very powerful crease removal. I found it penetrates to the under neath of the garment. Another great feature is the steam boost. The iron didn’t drip at all even when on low temperature. I was very impressed with the iron cord clip which was an extra touch. Arvosana 5/5[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This iron is, quite simply, great. I iron a fair bit throughout the week and this has made my life much easier. It takes half the time now. Instead of going over creases multiple times like I used to, a quick once over with this and my shirts are crease free. The iron itself is easy to use. The cap to fill up is sufficiently large and so is the water storage capacity(320ml). The smoothness of the soleplate, plus being relatively light weight, makes it glide very easily across the board with little effort. The continuous steam boost is great for tackling those extra tough creases but I haven't had to use it much at all. The handle has a great texture to ensure maximum grip too but can be a little uncomfortable after prolonged use. Perhaps a softer, rubber type material could be used for that extra comfort in the future. The look and feel of the iron is modern and sturdy. I imagine I'll get many years out of this. The instructions are very straight forward and easy to follow. I love the idea of the chord being clipped onto the ironing board which adds extra security when ironing. The iron itself is the perfect weight for me and is comfortable to use. I am very pleased with the results it gives me. Gets rid of tough creases with ease.
