It worked for a few weeks then it just stopped. It turns on and you can select what level you want to use but when you go to use it, nothing happens it doesn’t flash. With how expensive it is you would expect it to last more than a few months.

use it for 2 years already, hair reduced significantly, recommend!

Some hairs fell off if I pull them after 3-4 days. Slight reduction in hair growth rate and density after 3 sessions.

Hot or warm sensation. Painless or slightly painful like you touch something hot very briefly. No discomfort after using.

The device is over 15 cm long and 4.5 cm thick and weighs around 220 g. Very bulky and quite heavy. Far harder to hold and press the buttons than it seems in the promotional video.

The adaptor is 10 x 6 x 4 cm and weighs around 220 g also. Didn't expect it to be so large. It's so heavy that it won't secure on the power socket.

The cable is 2 m long, long enough to reach any body part. Need to coil for storage.

I had very high hopes for this product. I have used it according to all instructions and have a hair type that should work with it, however, have seen little to no difference. I got this at Christmas time and it is now around April so I am confused as to why I haven't seen results!

I bought this on the 29 December and have been using it every two weeks as instructed. After 14 weeks I have seen next to no improve on hair reduction. I’m very disappointed, as I paid a lot of money for a product that hasn’t achieved barely anything.

Have been using it for 5-6 months now, and I cannot see any difference, just a waste of money and time! Don't buy!

I'm very disappointed with this product. I've been using it for about a month now, followed exactly what the instructions said and I haven't seen any improvement. I've taken very good care of it putting back in the box after every use and now the laser had stopped working, it turns on but nothing happens when I press the button. What a waste of money.

I purchased this for doing my wife's legs and face. So far it is easy to use but could do with an adapter to make it easier to use on the face around the chin area. After using it now for a few times there seems to be a bit of a difference but only time will tell how good it is at reducing the hair growth completely

The light flashes so brightly I have to close my eyes and turn away to avoid being blinded (and that's even with it pressed firmly against the skin). But most importantly, I've been using my lumea for 6 months and it has made absolutely no change to my hair growth and considering the advertisement states that light skin and dark hair works best for the lumea, I have to say my expectations definitely weren't met.

I saw I massive difference since I ‘ve started using it! I mostly use it on the face and a few areas on the body! Very satisfied!

It takes absolutely ages to do. I spend a LOT of time waiting for it to recharge and then you have list your place.

Too early to see if it has affected hair growth.

I have been using Lumea four times and I can already see the difference. I do definitely have les hair in my underarms and bikini line.

I bought this after years of having facial hair due to poly cystic ovary syndrome. I have done 3 treatments so far and another treatment due later this week. I cannot believe how successful it has been I am finding less and less hairs each morning I was shaving every morning I was so aware and embarrassed but I feel so much more positive about it.

I'm due my 5th treatment and have been using every 2 weeks as per instructions and hair is growing back at same rate it always has. Unbelievably disappointed so far. Following instructions to the letter and seem to have the right skin tone and hair colour for this to work. Almost don't even feel like doing the 5th treatment but I've spent so much money on it I feel like it should work at some point. Frustrating as it also means shaving rather waxing which I normally wouldn't do. Used on legs, underarm and bikini and tracked with the app. Gutted.

I chose this model because of its design, although I love the gun shape design of the other models I have a health condition that affects my joints, so I always look for the lightest most comfortable tools available to me. As someone with a limited grip in their fingers I can say this is an excellent design, once you have the device lined up and ready to go by simply keeping your finger on the (very large) button, you can glide without having to keep pressing to activate. I have some hormonal hair issues, meaning no matter what I do the hair keeps returning, even after years of electrolysis and laser removal! This device was affordable and is very convenient for me.

I have used the Lumea for 4 months and I have to say the results are fabulous. One treatment on the annoying hair on my chin and it did not come back, my legs are now hair free, as are my underarms, my bikini line is not totally clear but the regrowth is so soft and downy that it is easily shaved away. I am still doing the maintenance treatments. I did download the Lumea app which always reminds me when treatments are due, and saves the levels you use. I chose the BR1861/00 as some reviews said gun shape was difficult to use, I am pleased I did as the unit is easy to hold and can be turned sideways with ease. Overall a super buy.

I chose this product for a Christmas present. My husband had done some research and we were happy that his sounded like a good product. However, 8 weeks of use and still not noticed any difference with hair growth on bikini line. I am so frustrated as my skin/hair colour seem to suggest that it would be a success. I had chosen the product over going to a salon so that I would have more flexibility but I'm worried that I just wasted a lot of money.

It's only a month and a half since I purchased this item but after following the instruction booklet to the letter I have started to notice a drastic reduction of hair growth on my armpits and face. The bikini line has also seen a reduction although not as good as the other areas. I'm not sure if the product overheats when it's been used for a few minutes, but sometimes it just won't show the 'ready green light' even when you are using it correctly. After switching it off & on again it seems ok. The awkward bit I found was around my mouth area. The screen of the Philips Lumea wont nicely sit against your skin around the mouth. But after pulling a few strange faces it shows the green light & you just carry on! It doesn't hurt either which is a bonus!

After 4 treatments I have noticed a marked change in my hair growth. There is a marked reduction. Some areas are taking longer but that is something i expected.

The product is mostly easy to use, however the challenge arises when applying to curvy and bony areas

This product really works and I cannot recommend it enough. It's changed my life for the better, given me my confidence and made me feel so much more feminine. It works fairly quickly, depending on the area being treated. I just love it and so glad I trusted all the other great reviews. Thank you Philips for creating this fantastic, easy to use and effective hair removal system.

Highly recommended :) if you follow the instructions and keep up using you wont be disappointed.

I always had dark, jet black hairs which is really annoying and hard to get rid of... (you know the one, you can see it grow even if they are just about to get to the surface....really annoying especially at summer, on the bikini line, under arm etc ) so after a good year of use I see a significant reduction and I do not have to shave often between 2 laser therapy.

I am so glad that I found this product, and had faith in it. :)
