I have owned two of these thermometers in the past years. Original one I purchased lasted about 2 seasons then one day the part that holds the probe split and rendered it useless. I replaced the first thermometer with another one as I liked the accuracy and ease of operation….. again after about 2 grilling seasons it has broken in the same place…For the price of these thermometers one would expect a longer life span. Perhaps a more robust probe holder part would increase the life span of these thermometers ? I would not purchase another of these nor would I recommend them to anyone else ….. I have owned many Weber products over the years so would have expected better quality from Weber

I purchased this thermometer November 11. Took out of package and tried to use it this weekend and doesnt work unless the back cover is off of the product. I replaced the batteries and still will not work unless back cover is off. Batteries fall out and is not giving accurate readings or doesn't display a temperature at all. Not sure if mine is just defective or what.

Accurate and fast readings. I like the thermometers that came with the pellet grill, but I tend to use this SnapCheck Thermometer when cooks items that are on the grill for less than 15 minutes, due to speed and accuracy.

the battery seems to die fast and I'm not convinced it's as a accurate as a Thermopen because my temp reads are wildly different

Works very well. Switch to change from Fahrenheit to Celsius is inside the screwed-on battery cover, so not ideal if you have recipes with both measurement systems. Plastic around the thermometer stick cracked the first time I used it. Works fine, but could be built more sturdy

Accurate and Quick but they should include the proper screwdriver with it to make it easier and avoid stripping the screws necessary to remove to install batteries and adjust settings.

You need to have a very small screwdriver to get the battery cover off. There’s no need to make the product that way and it’s inconvenient.

I bought this thermometer sometime last year to replace a cheap one I had for indoor cooking. I absolutely love this thermometer. It is quick and accurate. I love the markings on the probe so I can get consistent temperatures. I no longer get overcooked or under cooked meat like I did with my old thermometer. Meat comes out perfect every time.

The construction is high quality and you definitely get what you pay for. The screen is back-lit, bright and easy to read. It will even change orientation to how you are holding it. Changing the batteries and settings is kind of a pain as you have to remove 2 screws to get to the batteries and menu buttons. The level of customisation for a meat thermometer is a little crazy but an added bonus. You can change from F to C, allow it to do whole number readings or to read to a tenth of a degree, adjust the brightness of the screen and set a sleep setting to conserve batteries. It is also easy to clean. I would highly recommend to anyone whether you own a grill or not.
