When I received this shaver everything looked great I put it on charge and it charged ok. When I went to use the shaver it didn’t work. I checked it over and found that the component that should drive the shaver head was missing.

Not a great shaver. Didn't give as good shave as my old Philips. If you have tough stubble you could spend all day with this shaver and it probably wouldn't make much of an impact.

As for quality it gave up the ghost after 9 months. Philips have been good enough to replace it under guarantee.

Lets see what the newer 5000 series is like?

Bought the product for my husband's birthday, it has 2 speeds slow shave and a fast shave, it charges in 1 hour, which is very good and you can charge for 5 mins if you only want one shave,

This shaver is one of the best i have had to date and gives an amazing close shave and the detachable heads provide all the needs I require for the ultimate grooming experience and also very easy cleaning too!!

I like Philips goods and will always buy This brand

After over one year's use of this razor I still cannot get on with it. The hand hold position is such that I am constantly switching it off while shaving. It does not shave as well as my previous 5000 series Philips, takes longer and makes more noise. It does not come with a cleaning brush but the water cleaning system does need help from time to time with a brush. Finally the razor has recently started making intermittent shrieking noises while saving, a good clean does not cure this.

New shaver first impressions are very good. But Philips on line warranty registration is an absolute pain.

Pidemmän päälle vaihdettava ajopää ei ole hyvä juttu. Koneen niska löystyy ja ajopää voi irrota kesken parranajon. Tätä ongelmaa alkoi ilmetä noin 1,5 vuodessa. Kiinteä malli voi olla parempi kestämään.

The razor worked well but the power switch developed an intermittent fault within 8 months, ie during the warranty period. It wouldn't switch on, I had to keep pressing the power button many times and then it would eventually start, but then wouldn't switch off again except after many presses of the power button. Philips sent me a replacement under warranty in December 2017 but this replacement failed in the same way 3 years later, outside of the warranty period.

A clean shave , impressive features but arkward too use-ie on-off button in the wrong place, side- burns attachment very inconvieniant, pull-off shaver-head attachment ,badly designed when shaken too displace any access water the shaver-head comes off, given the cost of this item , i was expecting a more solid and rigid device , than one that has flimsy attachments that in time will become a problem in use, If it wasnt for the points i have mentioned this would be a perfect shaver , thank-you -OVER TOO THE DESIGN TEAM. When I purchased the razor I was not aware that the new one does not have a booster shave. Other than that I’m enjoying a good quick shave

Ihan ok. Käy ja kukkuu. Ihan kaikkea ei hoida ellei käytä vähän enemmän aikaa ja tarkkuutta.

Good design and grip . Good battery life. Like the extra power boost.

Yllättävän hiljainen partakone. Leikkaa hyvin ja tarkkaan. Mukana tullut tarkkuustrimmeri on myös hyvä ja helppo käyttää.

Hinta/laatusuhde varmaankin kohdallaan. Hiljainen käyntiääni. Leikkaa pidemmän sängen ( pari päivää) paremmin kuin lyhyen. Muovisen tuntuinen, kevyt.

Moi. Vein partakoneen hoitolaitokseen,missä veljeni asustaa. Hoitajat ajavat hänen partansa,ja kehuivat kovasti partakonetta.

Nyt parranajo on onnistunut hyvin, ilman huitomisia ym. Kiitos

Aika kauan saa jyrsiä leukaa. Mutta kyllä se karva katkeaa.

Hyvä muotoilu. Partasäiliön avaava nuppi vähän väärässä paikassa. Peukalo osuu siihen ja on välillä aukaista säiliön. Laukku puuttui, ja selkeä kirjoitettu ohjekirja. Symboleja on välillä vaikea tulkita.

Ääni on hiljainen ja ajotulos hyvä. Olisiko tämä uusi jo 4:äs Philipsini.

Ensimmäinen 50 luvun munan muotoinen 2 teräinen.

I have ha 2 of the series 5000 in 3 years the first was replaced under the guarantee just after it was one year old. The replacement is now making a squealing nose from the head where the 3 cutter heads are housed and the head is becoming quite loose where it plugs into the shaver body. The 1st one was beginning to do the same before it failed completely , I think the peg on the shaver head which fits into a slot on the main body wears and causes excess movement.

Reviews on this type of shaver seem to have had similar problems. This must be a design fault and will put me off from buying another philips shaver as a lot of the range seems to have the same design. I have bought philips shavers since I started to shave and I am now 66 an all my other shaver have lasted for years and years.

I really regret purchasing this thing. It isn't capable of shaving, it requires (no exaggerating) what must be 20 passes to get something that could be considered a finished job, and even then it is disappointing after a frustrating 15 minutes. Has been like this since first use, done everything to try and sort it out and I'm writing this review after possibly 10 months of disbelief that a product could be so bad and that it must be me, but I don't think it is me. This is either blunt or doesn't have enough power, probably both. I used to have a battery philips shaver that took AA batteries and it was quite honestly something in the order of 3 times better than this. This was a total waste of money. I likely won't purchase another Philips shaver in the future.

Gives a clean shave, but a nightmare to re-assemble after cleaning the heads. Vital components made of plastic.
