The sound is truly not good, I expected more from so well reputable company as SONY. The cassette player is awful – and the cassette player in conjuction with CD player was the main reason I bought it. One side of the tape I can hear the other hardly. It applies to both newest tapes and oldest. I am overall quite disappointed. I do not know who wrote previous reviews? I do not have hearing problems and I am not satisfied. Maybe just my device is faulty? I honestly do not know. I have better sound from my phone, and it shouldn't be like that - that for sure.

Not at all happy as the CD player ceased to function not longer after warranty expired.

Ihan hyvältä vaikuttaa äänen puolesta ja on mukavannäköinenkin. --Oletin, että olisi kaukosäädin nykyajan radioissa, mutta ei ollut. Ei voi sen takia sijoittaa kauemmaksi itsestä.

Having no facility for playing CDs on my new Sony Smart TV, we needed a CD player and what better way than to buy a reliable Sony product. Works a treat.

Ise asiassa tämä CD-radio tulee aikuiselle tyttärelle synttärilahjaksi. Mutta olen toki kokeillut laitetta, tutustunut sen ominaisuuksiin ja todennut sen olevan Sonyn luotettavaa laatutavaraa. Tarpeellisten radiokanavien ja CD:n ja MP3:n lisäksi laitteesta löytyy myös kasettisoitin! Musiikin kuuntelulle lisää syvyyttä antaa Mega bass-toiminto. Suosittelen!

Pieni näppärä laite. Näppäimet ehkä liian pienet ja kun käytän tätä yöpöydällä, en näe pimeässä mitä nappia painaa. Plussaa siitä, että laitteessa on kasettisoitin ja mp3-levyjen soittomahdollisuus. Ääni on kohtuullinen ja tähän hintaluokkaan sopiva, ei mitenkään huippuhyvä.

Radion/soittimen käyttö on todella helppoa, varsinkin verrattuna edelliseen laitteeseemme. Sony teke laattutavaraa, se näkyy joka kohdassa. Laitteen käyttötarkoitus ei edellytä mitään ghettoblasterin ominaissuksia - eikä niitä tässä olekaan.

In the past, not in this country, the similar electronics I bought lasted only 12-18 months. I have had this just a few weeks, and it impressed me as feeling more solid, and operating more smoothly.

The player seems ok for the money however I thought it was a little tinny

I bought this item recently from an online retailer. I’m really impressed with it. Smart design that’s easy on the eye, simple controls make it easy to use and most importantly it sounds really good for a small device. I can now listen to my old cassette tapes that I haven’t heard for years and the Megabass feature really enhances the sound quality. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone that’s looking for a reasonable priced boombox.

Great product. Easy to use and great value for money. The cassette player is a great bonus. Quite difficult to fine one of these nowadays. Sound is excellent for the size of the unit but if you would prefer a bigger sound, you can easily connect it to an external amplifier via the headphone socket. Also, this unit is very portable and perfect size. Can be used with batteries or mains. I am very impressed so far but then, Sony have never left me down before.

I bought this primarily for the CD player and I'm not disappointed.

Ostin sähköttömälle mökille, halusin paristoilla toimivan missä kasettisoitin ja uniajastin! Laite onkin siro, näppärä, helppo liikutella, mutta se syö paristot hetkessä! Miten ihmeessä on mahdollista, ikivanhalla radiolla kuuntelee koko kesän yksillä paristoilla, tällä pari iltaa! Vein laitteen kaupunkiin, missä toimii hyvin sähköllä, mutta koska en tarvinnut radiota kaupunkiin rahat menivät täysin hukkaan!

I am happy with the product great sound and easy to use

I was well pleased with this item. I can now play my tapes and CDs after 3 years and the sound is great. Price very reasonable as well. My only issue is changing tracks on a CD, its probably me but i find this a bit difficult. Overall i can't really fault it

I was looking for a cd player which would play mp3 files, also have a tape player and be able to work on battery power. Not only that I wanted it to be reliable. Asking too much? Not with this purchase. The radio is

a great bonus. Very pleased I chose it.

I bought this for my wife to replace her very old Awia boombox which she used in our conservatory for cd and tape use. This unit is much smaller with only 1,7watt speakers so the performance and sound quality is much reduced in comparison, but the trend these days is for streaming music on Spotify etc. so there is no market for making a quality tape deck or CD player. However if you have old tapes and cd's it does the job reasonably well. We have a quality twin tape deck/amplifier/cdplayer in our main lounge if we need to listen with high fidelity sound. It does what it says on the tin to a quality that reflects the price of the unit in comparison an expensive sound system. The radio reception and tuning was perfect for our area with all presets working fine. 3 favourite channels was enough for my wife as she only listens to Classic FM and Radio Scotland. The unit is quite flimsy in construction so we do not expect the same durability as the old Awia, but nothing is but to last these days unless you purchase top quality more expensive equipment.

Brought a few weeks ago for my dad. Radio tape and cd work great

Brought this last month for something to listen to on the patio in the warmer weather. Radio picks up a treat, CD & cassettes, which I brought it for sounds great with Bass Boost on even without Dolby. Works on 6 C cell batteries out doors which can be expensive, but I have a lot of Ni-MH AA batteries with spacers to fit C Cell which works fine savig money when weather permitting.

Unfortunately, my particular purchase was one of the ones with a fault, to do with cd playback, so unable to leave a good review.

Sound quality not great and controls take some getting used to. But at least i can play my tapes and CDs.

Ideal for in the kitchen.
