There aren't many Blu Ray players on the market now but this one is very good. It has built in Wi-Fi too. I would buy another if one of the other players in the house failed.

I purchased this to play Blu-ray and DVDs through both HDMI and SCART conversion to TV. The quality is excellent as expected from a Sony. However, I am confused by the apps add-ons and linking to various accounts to access more usability. I have watched video helps and linking to Cyberlink etc and not been successful to date. So... 5 stars for playing Blr-ray/DVDs 3-4 stars on additional functionality.

Käytettäviä sovelluksia käytännössä Netflix, YouTube ja Yle, ja Ylenkin avauksen yhteydessä tulee ilmoitus, että tuki päättyy huhtikuussa. Nämä älyominaisuudet oli yksi syy valintaan, mutta jos olisin tiennyt sovellusten vähäisyyden, olisin valinnut toisen laitteen. Ei kuitenkaan niin olennaista, että jaksaisi palauttaa. Wifi-yhteys toimii ja kuva näkyy.

Erinomainen ja edullinen smart blu-ray soitin. Todella pienikokoinen ja helppo käyttää. Mukana useita toimintoja jotka täydentävät kivasti wanhaa televisiotamme melkein uuden älytelevision veroiseksi.

Set up so simple following on screen instructions, setting up Wi-Fi was a breeze took longer to input password than actual setup Perfectly clear crisp picture, lots of extras that might no need or use

I am happy to have had this product for a month ago.

I got this some years ago and it has performed flawlessly. Sadly Sony recently took it upon itself to remove the BBC iPlayer app, which was one of the key features for me. So if you want to use the online apps via this device - beware.

I’ve only had the item for a couple of weeks but it seems to do everything I need and image quality is good.

It was easy to set up and link to my Sony tv and soundbar and ready to use within a few minutes.

Bought this few weeks ago, mainly to enable me to buy and play DVDs from USA. It was easy to connect and has done the job perfectly, including UK DVDs also, the machine automatically detecting which Region is required and plays immediately. I haven't tried any Blu-ray discs, which apparently do need a simple button press to activate, so can't comment on that. I'm extremely happy with purchase and so glad chose this machine.

I needed a replacement DVD drive I could run through an old surround sound amp. Used for music CDs so unsure of picture quality.

Needed a DAC to convert the digital audio to analogue and a digital audio cable.

Sounds better through optical audio via the amp than phono analogue.

A basic but capable model which only lacks one function for me. A sleep timer.

Have not used the internet connection as of yet so no comments there.

Good info manual but still had to search on line for solution to audio connections.

Quiet player except when the disc spins up.

Easy to set up and use. This Sony Blu-ray Disc player seems intuitive to the users needs. Clever Sony.

Kun on muutamia satoja DVD-elokuvia, tarvitsee toimivan soittimen väsähtäneen tilalle, ja tässäpä olikin sopivassa hintaluokassa pieni kevyt näppärä toimiva helppo ja itseäni fiksumpi laite: kerrankin tein onnistuneen ratkaisun.

Muuten näppärä ja hyvin toimiva peli, mutta en osaa lisätä valikkoon nettikanavia kuten Katsomo tai Ruutu

My second SONY DVD blue ray player. Excellent quality for the price and I like to compactness of the item.

Setup was straightforward and picture quality is good. I was slightly surprised at the lack of terrestrial streaming options and the odd defaults. But good value for money could also probably do with updating the firmware, no bugs since 2019!
