Spending time on pixel-peeping with a high resolution monitor is understandable, yet printing the the image on high quality paper with the PRO-1000 is inspirational - it makes me remember what real photographic expression truly means and achieves. I only wish I had bought it earlier! It has forced to remember what photographs are for - to be viewed by other people, so the photographer may “speak” to those who stop, look and think. This mixed up world needs more people to stop and think!

I am a designer and artist, and print high quality images from both original photographs and graphic treatments of photographs. This printer gives excellent reproductions of both, with the best being achieved on high quality stock.

I have been after one of these since Nov last year. Quite impressed by it. No ink subscriptions ( which I like ) or complicated unnecessary WIFI / App / Airplay connections just a simple plug and print.

Someone I know who does photography, saw some of my photo prints and they

would like me to print off some of their photos.

Just working out how to calibrate colour to screen, printer and use ICC profiles

I haven’t used this printer to its full potential yet, but the prints produced so far are excellent.

My 1st pro printer and I was amazed at how easy it was to set up. The quality of the 1st print was excellent.

Delivery quick and secure, Printer easily set up although instructions did not state how long it took to initially self prime and had me wondering if all was ok. It was but its a lengthy process and a indicator bar would have helped. However all other on screen instructions are good and plenty of youtube vids on internet help. The printer is heavy so two person lift and a substantial base required. (don't forget you will need space front and rear for paper feed etc)

Anyway up and running in about an hour for me as a non teccy so happy with that.

Very quiet when printing and surprisingly very little vibration.

I bought my Canon imagePROGRAF Pro-1000 quite recently and I am extremely pleased with it. The ink tanks are much larger and therefore will last longer. My prints are superb and highly professional-looking.

Mine lasted less than 20 months before failing with a known design fault (see USA Canon community forum for evidence). Fix is more expensive than new printer so is being trashed. The cartridge eject mechanism fails and that is it!

Also drinks ink and will execute an ink consuming clean if not used every 60 hours.

Print quality is great but not better than rivals - too expensive to run outside of print shop.

honest to god total waste of money, barely worked since i owned it, lot of money wasted, save yourself loads of time and effort buy something else.
