I've had 2 pairs, the first failed after about 14 months and the second set I had repaired after about the same period which I've then subsequently had to glue/repair myself.

The problem stems from two things, one a clear design flaw. The three weak points are the 90 degree angle jack, both sets of mine failed there, then there is where the wire goes in to the battery. With all the bending it fails there too followed lastly by the other side of the battery for the same reason.

If they lasted they would be worth the money as they are comfortable, the NC is great, and the sound is good. Due to the build quality issues however they clearly aren't so I ended up getting the wireless Bose with the neck battery and they are better. Be warned however with those too, high levels of heat (like when I'm on holiday) causes the glue to melt and the covers for the neck brace come away, on to my second pair of those lesson learnt.

I brought these and they are superb, costly yes but faultless.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was half expecting these earphnes to die out on me. Either the battery or the ear piece, sound quality, general electrical faults. But no, nothing.

I'm happy with the money I spent on these. I just hope the current models are made with the same quality control they were 2 years ago so you can enjoy them the same I have.

This is not an audiophile earphone btw, please note the sound is not true and comes out boosted. I have no issues with this since my purpose for these headphones is not to produce or do sound engineering work but rather enjoy music in various scenerios.

I bought these as travel companions and as a traveling consultant can honestly say they have been my best friend during lonely times. Music has kept me sane and the catalyst to escaping reality into my own imagination has more than been fascilitated by these beauties.

Really impressive buildings quality.

I can break everything not manged to break these yet after 3 years of owning them.

Must buy for working round motor vehicles such as snowmobile.

[Tämä arvostelu kerättiin osana kampanjaa.] They worked well for a time, the sound is good, they are very comfortable to wear, but the control unit with the microphone and the buttons stopped working. They still work as headphones and even the noise cancelling works, but I cannot control them with the buttons which don't do anything anymore nor the microphone doesn't work, so they cannot be used as a headset anymore. And this seems to be pretty common according to these reviews, other people are having the exactly same issue with the broken microphone/button unit. And the cable and the microphone/button unit seem to be impossible to replace. If it would be possible to replace this part, I could recommend these, but really cannot as it is prone to stop working without a repair option.

I have 4 pairs of noise cancelling Bose heaphones, even now I'm using my QC35 II headphones, but smaller ones would be good too.

The sound of the headphones is quite good and they do block the noise... the problem is that they are made of cheap materials or the design isn’t good. The thing is, that they break easily. The first pair was replaced over a year after I bought it, because the cable broke and there was a constant noise. The second pair lasted 18 months.. and again the cable broke in the joints and the left headphone stopped working. But this time the headphones were out of warranty. I think the price is quite high for a pair of headphones which won’t last more than 2 years...

I play most of my music via a Samsung phone while using the Poweramp app (I use Poweramp when using all wired and bluetooth headphones on Samsung phones as the Samsung music app doesn't have enough juice to power high end phones or

headphones) and all I can say is that these earphones are amazing - they have brilliant sound quality for all kinds of music, podcasts and audiobooks - clear sound , deep bass and no distortion at all. I barely use half the volume setting on the Poweramp app when listening to these - can't understand why some reviewers state that they're not loud enough ( and I'm 60 years old) These little marvels are a lifesaver when I am using public transport - as soon as I turn them on I have a big smile every time due to the great sound quality and noise cancelling - I have many bose products and have never been disappointed.

The sound quality on these is decent, the noise cancelling works really well in very specific circumstances, and the earphones are well made. But there are some serious design flaws:

1. The large battery pack is right by the headphone socket, so if you try to put your phone or device into your pocket it gets caught on the battery pack and yanks the earphones out of the socket.
   
   
2. The earphones cancel a certain type of noise very well - mid/low frequency rumbles like airplane noise. But other types of noise are still very audible, particularly someone speaking nearby. The noise cancelling has no effect on this.
   
   
3. A well documented problem is the popping, which is particularly bad on trains - whenever another train passes, whenever the noise of the train is particularly loud, whenever the doors open and close there is a loud and disturbing pop.
   
   
4. The earbuds are slightly elongated vertically, which makes all three sizes fit slightly too loosely in the ear. It also means that earbuds from other headphones won't fit these ones, so you can't swap them for ones that do fit.

I have been complaining about bose headphones for a number of years now but looks like this hasn't been fixed yet. I first tried their in ear headphones back in 2014 and noticed immediately that the volume is not loud enough.

I must admit, their noise cancellation is one of the best and above par. However, they need to improve sound quality. Add some bass, more treble and most of all more loudness

I bought these 5 months ago. I use them mainly when commute. Whenever a bus goes over a bump the headphones produce a crackling noise. Quite uncomfortable noise. Wish I had used them more. Would have returned them on time. It never happened with another pair I have for my Samsung phone. To add, the same headphones for Samsung phone sit comfortably in my ears and stay there. The Apple version keep falling out. Overall the old pair is much better than the new ones.

the tips don't fit very securely, therefore sometimes a pair of good "noise isolation" headfones cuts out the sound better

however, they cut out most voices including my annoying neighbour

which was the purpose, so i might use them again just for this

i recommend that bose looks at a pair of "panasonic ergo" headfones and JVC marshmellow to see how to build a great shaped set of headfones

that style of headfones + noise cancelling would be perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this just over a month now. The sound is fantastic, I have just used the noise cancelling feature on a flight. Unbelievable! I would highly recommend them and will definitely be buying another pair as a gift to a family member

We have the original over-head Bose noise cancelling headphones which are brilliant. I wanted the in-ear version for my daily train commute to block out conversations around me more than for listening to music. They don't work; I can hear conversations perfectly, they just sound more distant. Some days, the headphones regularly pop, which is uncomfortable. Music quality is ok, but I have to the turn the volume up high to block out sounds around me given the noise cancellation doesn't work. I've tried to get use to these, always make sure they're fully charged. I regret buying these. I'm just outside the 30-days ownership so stuck with them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already have the normal Bose earbuds and also the noise cancelling headphones which I just love to use when flying as they completely get rid of all that awful noise, it is unbelievable how quiet everything is, I tend to keep them on even when I’m not listening to anything.

I wanted something more compact to fit in my handbag and these fit the bill perfectly.

Great price and delivery and they work just as good as the headphones.

Noise cancelling took me a little time to get used to but have been on a couple of really full and noisy trains and it has helped me completely switch off. That are also really comfortable to wear compared to other headsets I have tried. Love them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these for my holiday as the overear headphones are too bulky and not so easy to pack. Great on the plane, especially with the noise cancellation button. I wouldn’t say it blocks all surrounding noises out but it definitely dulls them. Took me a while to get used to having something in my ear, but after a while you dont notice. Came in a nice black case to keep them secure but its a bit on the small size so have to bend the cables to get them in. Great sound and perfect if your always on the move!

My wife bought me these Headphones for christmas 2016 and I was very happy with the way that they fit and the superb sound quality. Just after a year, the right speaker stopped working, which was very frustrating as the remote control had packed up shortly before this. Christmas 2017 my wife bought me a replacement pair of headphones which also lasted just over a year before the right speaker stopped working. I think that sweat is getting into the ear bud and shorting out the speaker because if I blow into it for a few seconds the speaker starts to work again but at a lower volume than the left speaker. However, it doesn't last for long and stops working again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had mine for 3 years and loved them. Unfortunately I’m now getting ear piercing feedback from the right one as soon as I turn on the noise cancelling. Started As an intermittent problem in aircraft but now it’s constant. Real shame.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super comfortable, great sound and the ANR is the best that I have discovered.

The switch to put the ANR off is a great feature. I wasn’t sure about getting headphones that are not wireless but I’m glad that I did. I use a lot of noisy tools for my work and these were great at masking the noise and letting me hear my music.

Sent these back as they did not meet my requirements.
