I bought these headphones primarily to be used as IEM ("in-ear monitoring") for rehearsals with a music band, and secondarily for generic computer use. I am not a hi-fi expert, so my expectations and requirements may not be as high as other people, but I have to say that these headphones perform great for both purposes of mine.

The sound quality is very good in band rehearsals as I can hear every instrument clearly without using a high volume. These headphones do not have active noise cancellation (therefore they don't require batteries) but immediately as you put them on you can notice how sounds and noise from the outside is dampened, not massively but significantly. For me this is a very good compromise between improving isolation while playing and still be able to talk to others when not playing, without having to take the headphones off.

For computer usage (music and gaming) they actually exceeded my expectations, being easily the best-sounding ones I ever had, but keep in mind that I generally never bought a three-digit priced headphones model, so I do not really know how high the quality can go. Also be aware that these headphones are designed for music, they are not gaming headphones so they do not have a built-in microphone.

One of my major concerns was how comfortably the headphones would fit on my head. I am very happy that Verkkokauppa had many headphones on display so that I could visit the shop and try them all out (in my price range). Since everyone has their own head and ears, nothing beats trying them out in person. The Audio Technica models fit best on my head because the adjustable overhead arch allowed me to set the tightness right around my head (not too tight as being uncomfortable, not too loose as worrying me they might slip off my head while rocking around), and because they enclose my ears completely instead of pressing onto them.

The Audio Technica brand has many models for progressively high prices. I did not have the chance to compare them in terms of audio quality, and mechanically they all seemed similar, so I simply chose to buy the cheapest model ATH-M20x.

Pros:

• very good audio quality
• partial noise reduction without need for batteries
• great comfort thanks to movable ears elements and adjustable arch length
• light but sturdy
• fairly long cable, removable 6.3 jack adapter included

• I wish they had a volume knob (useful for sudden "crazed guitarist solo" emergencies)

Hyvä istuvuus ja todella hyvä äänenlaatu. Edelliset kuulokkeet olivat yli 10 vuotta vanhat, mutta myös studiolaatuiset jolloin vertauspohjaa muihin yhtä uusiin kuulokkeisiin ei toki ole, mutta olen näihin ollut erittäin tyytyväinen heti ensikuuntelusta lähtien! Vaikuttaa myös erittäin laadukkailta eikä heikkorakenteisilta. Piuha on erittäin pitkä ja se on hyvä asia ei ole jatkuvasti kiinni jossain kun löysiä riittää.

Pakko yhtyä muiden kehumisiin. Varmasti parhaimpia ja mukavimpia kuulokkeita tähän hintaluokkaan, ei epäilystä. Toki aina voi olla parempi, joka osa-alueella, mutta siinä vaiheessa hinta on vähintään tuplaantunut. Ehdoton suositus, mikäli kukkaro tiukilla mutta ei halua liikaa tinkiä.

Pari viikkoa käyttöönoton jälkeen kuulokkeet vaikuttavat erinomaiselta ostolta. Soveltuu sähköpianon kuulokkeiksi hyvin, basso on mukavan kuuluva ja äänentoisto realistinen. Kuulokkeet on mukavat korvilla ja säätömahdollisuus riittävä kahden aikuisen erikokoisiin päihin.

Ostin nämä koska piti saada kuulokkeet.

Yllätys oli aikamoinen. Äänenlaatu moniin muihin verrattuna mainio.

Moniin paljon kalliimpiinkin nähden hyvä.

Sopii mun kupolin mainiosti ja ongelmia ei ilmaannu pitkienkään metallisessioiden aikana.

Eli sanalla sanoen yllätys....

Ennen, minulla oli jotain kaksi beyerdynamic laitteita kuten DT-770 250 Ohm ja 80 Ohm. Minulla oli huono kokemusta niiden käyttömukavuuden ja äänenlaadun perusteella. Sitten myin niitä pois ylppärilaskuun.

Sitten, olen pohdinut ostamaan halvin audio-technica laitteesta, josta asiakkaat ovat varsinaiseti hyötyneet tästä tuotteesta. Olen testanut sitä kotona VRM Boxin kanssa, toimii erittäin hyvin ja myös samana pystyy säätämään varsin taajuusvastea.

Suosittelen lämpimästi tätä tuotetta niille, jotka ovat vähävaraisia ja jotka etsivät halvimman vaihtoehtoa!

Hankin nämä tietokonekäyttöön johon nämä riittävät taajuusvasteeltaan oikein hyvin. Pienen säädön jälkeen ovat mukavat pitää, ja 3 metrin piuha antaa mukavan liikkumavaran.
