Great lens, easy to use and the quality of the photos on the new Sony ILCE-7CR is exceptional.

so happy to have purchased this, I use it with my new zv-e1, perfect for video with power zoom and nice focal range. great photos too

You can always wish for more but as it stands this is almost the ideal lens.

It certainly suits my mode of shooting.

This is a good value lens from Sony. It competes well with the competition on features, image quality and even on price - yes a Sony lens at a good price and it is a G lens. The zoom and focus rings are a little light on turning - a bit more resistance would be nice but that is the only down side.

I bought this product about 4 weeks ago, the product build is very good. I am disappointed with the picture quality the results are slightly blurred. Assistance with AI gets the desired results. I shoot in the RAW format and after using AI it saves as a JPEG, which defeats the object of using the RAW format in the first place.

I acknowledge the Lens is not expensive but at this price I would expect reasonable picture quality.

I bought this lens a few weeks back now! It has yet to prove me wrong in buying it! Brings amazing quality images and works perfectly for my automotive photography.

I've had this lens about a month ago and found it has many uses,very impressive results.

I bought this a mont ago, but can't get used to the indirect delayed zoom. Also when i have digital zoom active as an quick option, the zoom on this lens just proceeds digital after 105 m. Further more for crispy photo's you always need to stop 1 down, else images are liveless and look unsharp with little contrast. So bought second hand 16-70 f4, and the 28-105 F4 is for sale.

Theres a lot packed into this lens! First, the zoom range is amazing and covers pretty much everything I would want in one lens for handheld use. The OSS helps keeps things steady and the power zoom is great for video work, especially when paired with a camera with a zoom switch like the FX30.

It's small and light for such a varied focal length but the metal build stops it from feeling cheap. The zoom is internal which I definitely prefer over extending barrels with the zoom and focus rings being nicely dampened and smooth to use. Constant F4 aperture is a god send as I don't really like variable aperture zooms, fair enough if it's f2 to 2.8 like the tamron 35mm-150mm but not something naff like F4 to 7.1 (I'm looking at you canon!)

Lastly, image quality and I have to say I'm pretty impressed here too! I wasn't expected too much but I'v managed to get some truly beautiful shots with this and the F30, enough to make both clients and myself happy. I use this for video work so keep that in mind if you are planning for photography but at this pice you really cant go wrong if you are looking for a nice 'all in one lens'

Disappointed with the lack of sharpness. All my other Sony lenses are noticeably sharper.

This lens seems extremely well made but it is too early to give a full review on sharpness etc

If given the chance I will review late when I have used more

Fabulous images from this very versatile lens. Combined with A6000 camera this makes for amazing quality photos. Very flexible range on zoom, this lens never leaves the camera.

I had my eye on this lens for a while and last month I decided to get it. Before this i was using the kit lens and boy is this a vast improvement. The range is perfect for every day shooting, from portraits (mostly of pets for me) to breathtaking landscapes. This lens can do it all. With a constant f4 aperture, the foreground remains sharp while zooming in and out.

Much better focal length range than standard length and amazed with the apature being constant F4 through out focal length. Picture very clear and sharp. Only small drawback is the shadow of the lens if the in built camera flash is used.

I bought this to replace my old Nikon D70 this does a lot more and is nice and compact.

Just changed from Micro Four Thirds to Sony and bought this lens with the A6000 and the image quality from both is outstanding.

Do everything lens for daily use. Sony E PZ 18-105mm f/4 G OSS with F-4 stop for full zoom range.

Initial reaction was favourable. Excellent speed and accuracy of focus and crisp image, but, and it's a massive one, there was intermittent issue causing selective vignetting to top left corner of frame only. All apertures, at any short focal length. Like something was sticking. Returned it. Not going to risk another. Disappointing qc. Will probably stick with kit lens on my a6000, and carry on lugging a DSLR for anything beyond that.

Varmasti parhaita, ellei paras, lasi hinta - laatu suhteeltaan. Varsinkin videokuvaukseen. Muuttumaton valoarvo (4) hyvät zoomausominaisuudet ja yleinen laatu (G linssi). Myöskin se että objektiivi hoitaa zoomauksen sisäisesti eikä ulkoisesti muutu mitenkään auttaa gimbaalin tasapainotuksen kanssa niin ettei sitä tarvitse välillä säätää kun muuttaa polttoväliä. Eikö voi kyllä moittia valokuvatessakaan.

We've owned it less than a year, and it is a very nice versatile lens, build quality as with anything could be a little better as ours developed a fault after 8 months of usage - which appears to be a common issue where the lens does not focus when the camera is pointed downwards and then turned on.

If you are a 'run & gun' shooter and you need good wide-angle/zoom lens for video don't think twice. Buy this one. excellent on gimbal.

It is a nice lens all in all, but f4 is a bit too small for indoor, and the moto zoom is not easy to operate - sliding it causes movement. Why not buttons? Or why not use a camera menu to zoom? Also, using a remote control is not that convenient either. Eventually, I sold mine and replaced it with 18-135mm, which I am happy with it.

Sony recently added a f2.8 zoom, but the price! Come on.
