Period of Adjustment
I came over to digital photography via Sony Alpha A mount DSLR cameras in early 2005.
Progressed through a series of Sony Alpha DSLRs A44, A66 and an A77 II.
Now I have come over to Sony Alpha E Mounts cameras, via an A7, adjusting to such.
Great cam
Great cam
I don’t und why sony want me to write so much but I am just to proceed
Great camera
I bought first time super excited so hopefully it will go well
Great little camera
I bought this used and I haven't had too much time using it. However, it's very light compared to my d850 and with a small lens will fit in a pocket. Still trying to get my round the menus.
A7
I can't be impartial when it comes to Sony products. I have 2 TVs, laptop, desktop, BD player, HT receiver and 5 mobile phones all carrying the Sony logo. The A7 replaced the A5100 which was sharp and a joy to use. Anyway, lovin' it.
Sony A7 V
Now had the Sony A7 V for 8 weeks and used it for a variety of photos including wildlife, street, landscape, astro and macro photography. I was expecting it to be good, and it was for all of these, but it excelled beyond my expectations for wildlife, landscape and macro. An excellent camera which is a great improvement over my Sony A7 III and Sony A99 II.
It's OK.
I had higher expectations from this camera. Coming from a Nikon D3200 -APS-C, I would have thought the collar science would have been better. After watching many videos and tutorials, I just thought it would be sharper, less problems focussing, and an abundance of 3rd party lenses for a Full Frame Sony. Most reasonably priced lenses are only APS-C lenses-
Great little Camera with Masses of Tech
This is the first mirrorless camera I have owned and I am very impresses at the weight compared to my DSLR. The Features are second to none, I found it difficult to set up but there are loads of tutorials to help. I love the Function button, you can custom the settings to suit you style of photography. I am not a videographer but have tested and the play back is so crisp & sharp, although I would recommend an external Microphone. All in all this is a great stills and video camera.
My best camera so far
I bought this camera for the eye focus feature and I love it. It’s very clever and couldn’t be happier.
All you need from a full frame mirrorless
I purchased this as a trial to see how it matches my Canon equipment. I was totally impressed with the quality of the pictures and build. I use this with a combination of Sony, Zeiss and Leica lenses. This particular camera is compact and light and offers considerable customisation features, to help avoid using the complex default menus.
I was so impressed with this one that I sold all my Canon gear and bough a second Sony high resolution Alpha 7R
These camera provide excellent value for money when compared with the latest offering from Canon with eye watering prices..
superb camera
this camera takes great pictures and its size makes it easy to handle I am very pleased with it.
Great Camera but very hard to maintain!!
I have this camera since 2017 as you can imagine after some years every equipment breaks here and there. Unfortunately for the SONY A7 some parts aren’t manufactured anymore so if it breaks you will just remain with an expensive broken camera.
If you are considering to spend all this money in a camera, maybe look into other options!!
I am very disappointed at this, as I now have a perfectly working camera missing 2 small things that I can’t find anymore.
Great Optical steady shot stabilisation
I have had this camera three weeks and found the quality of photos excellent.
Portability
I decided to buy the Sony A7C for one fundamental reason: weight.
I was looking for a full frame camera which I could bring with me wherever I go.
For me it was important that was a full frame and Sony tick all the boxes.
Very glad I bought it.
Alpha 7
Excellent camera. Great results. Easy to use. Lightest full frame camera I have used.
Overall superb camera
Mine is the older model so alot wiil have changed but it was considerably cheaper. Being mirror less keeps it very light & compact for such a high end & capable camera. Bought it eventually to use for astrophotography so wanted a full frame sensor. Only criticisms so far are the usual: screen doesn't pivot round and you cannot run it on external power. Also it doesn't save images as RAW but uses Sony's version ARW. Not sure though if this will make much practical difference yet. One big thing though & reason for 4 not 5 stars is the appalling app for connecting to a phone or pc. I still haven't managed to connect it yet so no easy way to transfer images.
Satisfied Customer!
I am happy with this product. It is portable and lightweight enough, which what I was looking for.
Great features
I brought this 11months ago fantastic camera.
Still working as good as new.
Lovely camera
Bought this used to replace a massively heavy DSLR. It’s just what I wanted and can now carry it everywhere. Largely intuitive controls, a pleasure to use.
Very impressed so far !
My first Sony ! Bought second hand with 351 clicks on the shutter count. As new.
Great for beginners
This is brilliant. My only problems is the handling, the fact that you don't get at at 5fps (you have to shoot at 2.5fps), and there is slow WiFi.
Superb full frame camera
I shoot all my professional jobs on thus series of camera. Excellent sensor.
Versatile & Compact
Originally bought as a lighter alternative to my DSLR. I converted it to full spectrum and loved it for the EVF for any spectrum and the easily adaptable mount was amazing for that. Now that this camera has gotten so much cheaper I have bought another one to get converted because it's so good. I bought the mk3 but the striping and LED light bleeding issues are so bad for infrared after conversion that this mk1 is a far better camera for infrared shooters now and that's such a shame.
