Genuine Arduino but poor quality kit
The Arduino itself and the projects book are excellent but the rest of this kit is poor quality. The Breadboard is low quality and not compatible with the components supplied; the legs on the tilt switch are too short and the legs on the switches and potentiometer are bent in such a way that they won't fit. Also contact with straight wires is intermittent. This can make the kit very frustrating for a beginner trying to understand both hardware and software and trying to figure out why things don't work. I do not recommend this kit to a beginner.
