Works almost with the same principle like espresso machines, the water goes relatively quickly through the ground coffee with pressure. Good thing is, the creamy part of the brewed won't get stuck in the filter, like regular drip coffee. Gives you a golden colored foam on top of your coffee, but don't expect any espresso kind of a solid creamy layer. You can safely use all kinds of fine ground espresso coffee. The piston part can also be used to measure the amount of water. Easy to clean, no need to wash every time after use, rinsing the rubber part of the piston is enough.
