Having my microphone mounted to a boom arm was causing a considerable amount of vibration to carry through my table and the arm, right into the mic. And not table bumps, but just typing on my keyboard. I wasn't impressed with shock mounts in the past, but I have to give this one credit. A noticable improvement immediately when installed.
Pricey, but quality. Can recommend!
