Sony 1000X THE COLLEXION vastamelukuulokkeet, musta

I've had these headphones a little under 2 weeks and simply said they're absolutely brilliant. I've had a pair of Sony xm4s which I passed to my daughter and thought I'd treat myself to what after my review seem to be one of the most comfortable and best sounding.

Those reviews were not wrong. These are absolutely brilliant sound wise, comfort wise, and so far the battery seems also absolutely brilliant. I've listened to audiobooks and music. Both are absolutely good. I find the touch controls more sensitive than the old xm4s and yet to have them not do as I requested. I use the Sony connect app and that works seamlessly as it always has with my other ones. Noise cancelling I feel is maybe a little bit less than the xm4s but for me hardly noticeable.

I've purposely stood next to my microwave when on and it's difficult to hear it while I'm listening to music or the audiobooks.

I highly recommend putting the extra money into these headphones. They are class and will they live long enough I hope so because everything makes me happy about them. The case is absolutely brilliant and the fact it doesn't fold like the xm4s did is not an issue. The magnetic clasp on the case and the fact that they sit in their normal position may even just be better for longevity.

I got this new WH-1000XXB.CE7 as an upgrade because of the awesome experience I had with the WH-1000XM5 I bought about 3 years ago. This new one is truly an upgrade and I love the soundstage, comfort, battery life and connectivity. Very adaptive and performs extremely well. Its ANC is amazing, blocking all the noise around you to get you immersed in whatever you are listening to. I love it. The only thing I didn't like is no USB cable for for charging was included in the box, I love to charge my products with their original cables.

Hey guys, I recently brought these pair of awesome Sony Headphones regarding the Sony Collexion! So far my experience has been awesome by the way. Beats listening to loud estate noise where I live etc. It is very comfy to use even if you wear glasses like me! The Soundstage is ahead of its time, the battery life is amazing and the connectivity is great! Cheers Sony!

I've had the 1000xx for about 3 weeks now, and for me they are superb. The passive isolation is very good, but add in the ANC and at least 80 to 85% of noise is filtered out, a little behind the XM6 but only by a very small degree. They are supremely comfortable, much better headband than either of the previous versions I have used - I've worn them for 4 hours and not needed to have a repositioning, which for me was a first with XM series headbands. The earpads are perfect, ridiculously comfortable and soft.

The connectivity and flexibility of the headphone is up to Sony's usual high standard, with LDAC set to max 990kbps I've wandered all over my flat with no stutters or crackles. They pair with my phones and the app within moments every time. The app is excellent,  took moments to set the sound up to my tastes, always use find my eq and then tweak the eq from there. Very impressed with the new DSEE, tried it with a few lower quality old songs and found it very improved over their standard sound quality.
  Now for the most important part - sound quality. A major improvement to the XM6, the soundstage is wider and more precise, everything sounds very organised and cohesive on every genre I've thrown at the 1000xx. Bass is full, forceful and very precise. Midrange is fantastic, very clear and full, female vocals sound better than on the XM6, somehow vocals sound  more emotive &  involving. Guitars & strings sound particularly fantastic too. As for the treble, it's got great extension and little to no sibilance, unless it's their in the music. 
Basically I've found them a big step up in comfort, the build quality is amazing, the battery life is fine despite being a little behind the XM6, and the sound quality has for me taken a leap over the XM6.

Had the XM5s and WOW what a difference there light comfortable and their noise cancelling is very effective and the overall soundstage is balanced and i don’t feel the need to tune them overall 10/10!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first impression on opening the carry case was seeing immediately the high quality of the headset. It looked fantastic with polished metal parts machined to a very high standard and the faux leather ear pieces add that certain feel of quality and luxury.

The charging of the headset was easily done via the USB ‘C’ cable and, as I use my mobile for music normally, I paired the headset to my mobile with no problems. It was a simple procedure of pressing the power button on the headset, turn on ‘bluetooth’ on your phone or whatever your music is stored on and the pairing happens automatically. It helps to install the ‘Sound Connect App’ before starting the pairing. I had it installed already because I have various items I use the app for. I am retired now but still found the headset and instructions very easy to understand.

When I put on the headset I was very pleased that my ears fitted inside the cups easily because I normally have trouble with fitting headsets but this time it was a perfect fit and very comfortable to wear. The faux leather finish was ideal and gave the headset the ‘premium look’. However, a minor point is that I am not sure how the faux leather will stand up to repeated use in all conditions. I think cleaning may be a problem after a few years use, but time will tell.

The overall sound quality is simply superb. Without doubt, the best sound quality I have ever heard from any headset I’ve ever owned and I have owned may over the years. The noise cancelling is very effective and enables the listener to be completely cut off from the outside world while being fully immersed in the music being played. I listen to a lot of classical music and the clarity is second to none. Individual instruments playing are clearly heard and vocals are as realistic as if the sound source is right in front of you. I also do lots of walking and found that this headset is ideal when out and about in the countryside and the long battery life is handy when away from home.

The ability to control various functions such as Play/Pause, Skip Tracks, Increase and decrease volume is provided on the touch sensor control panel. These functions are quite easy to master after a few minutes of practice and full instructions are given in the Quick Start Guide /Sound Connect App for these and numerous other functions.

Many may think that the 1000X The Collection may seem very expensive, for what essentially is, a pair of headphones. However, you pay for what you get and in this case unmatched sound quality and another prime quality product from Sony. So if you are really into your music this is the perfect product for you.

Excellent headphones. Sound quality is fantastic and superb build quality. Only one minor niggle is using pu leather on the earcups. Lamb skin leather would be icing on the cake.
