I bought these since my WH-1000XM5's failed (for those wondering, the right earcup stopped making sound after 3 years of use) and I have to say my expectations were pleasantly lifted. From the get-go, I expected something on par with my aformentioned XM5's but the reality is these headphones noticably improve in many fields.

For me specifically, these features were;

• Improved Noise Cancelling (on the XM5's I could hear a fan spinning if I didn't have music playing, no longer the case on the XM6's)
  
  

- Charging (The charging while on feature is an unexpected godsend. With the fast charging the headphones take a minimum of 30 minutes to charge, which was an issue on my xm5's. However with my XM6's I can listen while my headphones are plugged into e.g a power bank. Granted, it's a bit clunkier (cus of the cable) but it's better than nothing at all!

• The Bluetooth Low Latency (LE). Really useful for gaming, as it fixes the longtime bluetooth issue of single channel audio when using the headset mic (So I can use a voice chat now without feeling like a deaf 80 year old)
  
  

I'm sure i'll think if more in due time, but these are what stuck out to me.

N.B! The hinges, while folding, don't allow you to fold the earcups upwards and wear them around your neck (unless you're an ostrich) so I have to fold them when removing them but they fold flat so it's not a big issue, Just something to keep in mind.

A great product and most definitely an upgrade to my previous Sony headphone, a. must buy

The noise cancelling ability’s of these headphones are superb.

These are great and have great features. Comfortable for long usage and don’t have as much radio frequency as airpods

Went from a bose to this, sound wise, to me the bose beats this hands down on sound quality and even its overall volume and comfort, dont get me wrong, it has some cool gimmicks but I still wished I used my money on the latest bose headphones instead of this 1

The new Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones are easily the best headphones Ive ever used. Ive owned the previous Sony WH-1000XM5 version for a couple of years and the new headphones are greatly improved. The first thing I noticed was they have significantly improved noise cancellation. love the new Sony 360 Reality Audio Upmix for Cinema which provides great Spatial Audio which I use for both TV and Audio playback. The Bluetooth pairing and playback are much faster making the Sony WH-1000XM6 the best headphones I've ever used. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed the noise cancelling aspect of these headphones, and that you can still listen to music whilst using this feature.

Really good sound. They are tricky to place back in the case. The older case was a bit easier to use.

The Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones are genuinely the god tier. Easily one of the best pieces of tech I’ve bought in years. The noise cancelling is unreal — buses, trains, people talking, background chaos… gone. You put these on and suddenly the world disappears.

The sound quality is insane too. Everything feels crisp, deep and immersive without sounding muddy. Bass hits hard but doesn’t overpower vocals, and the clarity is ridiculous whether you’re listening to music, YouTube or watching films.

Comfort-wise, Sony absolutely nailed it. I can wear them for hours without them hurting my ears or head, and they somehow still feel lightweight while also feeling premium. Battery life is amazing as well — you barely even think about charging them.

The transparency/ambient mode is also one of the best I’ve used. You can actually hear people naturally without needing to take the headphones off every five minutes.

Honestly, Sony cooked with these. The XM6s feel like the perfect mix of luxury, practicality and everyday use. If you want headphones that make everything sound better and make public transport 100x more tolerable, these are absolutely worth it. 10/10.

I bough the Sony 1000XM6's around 1 month ago, i love it, however their is a few things im not a fan of, Volume Limit is the main thing and maybe the only reason it doesn't get 5 Star. I hoped their would be a software upgrade, but other than that, the satin finish is my only grouch as it leaves finger prints and i can't turn the volume up or down with wired connection, overall its a great product, sound quality is brilliant and its battery life is great.

Great Features, noise cancelling, fantastic sound

Bought this 13 days ago, ANC is excellent can barely hear cars, the sound of the engine when inside a vehicle, people talking right next to me while listening to music is muffled and I'm not able to tell conversation apart, headphones are very light and clamping force eases within a week after constant use, sound quality is amazing and with a 10 band EQ as well as other features you can tune the sound the way you want to, my 2 problems are within 1 week the hinge swivel on my right earcup creaks when i turn the right earcup to the max on both turns (turning it gently) and after 2 weeks the earpads compress to easily, meaning the earpads dont provide much cushioning meaning the plastic housing can cause pressure on your jaw. If i could give the sony headphones a 3.5 I would since the problems have enough impact despite the positive of these headphones.

Bought it a month ago and returned it. I was upgrading from 1000xm4, but have decided to stick with it. The cushions are a downgrade over the ones in 1000xm4, and the clamping force is too strong, especially for someone who wears glasses

Love the new upgrade but it will take a while to master some of the new controls.

Dropped a star due to whatever they are now made of leaves marks every time you touch them.

If this updated headset I have bought is as good if or much better than my previous headset I will be more than happy.

Over the moon with these headphones, i had the xm4 but the hinge broke on the one side which seemed to be a fatal flaw, this has been remedied and then some with the xm6 with a hugly robust solution. The sound quality is second to none and the features and un may hed by any product. The price as well is extremely good for what you get compared to apple, steinhauser, bose, beats. Sony has trumped them all with this product.

I bought these headphones after using momentum 4 over 2 years.

The premium price of XM6 is justified to the core. No sound personilazation needed for me . The original sound without any equalizer is just soo good dude. Definitely whole lot of work done behind the scenes and i truly appreciate it .

Noise cancellation which most of the people buy XM6 for is next level and i would truly appreciate the backend team for their efforts 🫡. Your ambient mode is also too good and the presence of a button to seamlessly switch between the modes is a very good option for users.

All in all its definitely a good purchase for anyone who focuses on 2 things when buying a pair of headphones.

1. sound quality and sound level
2. noise cancellation.
   
   

I though have a feedback. I feel there's a lack of punchiness in sound sometimes when i listen which is not the case with other headphones so definitely has to do something with your tuning.
