Really good, sound quality is really good and connection to my phone.

Con: Adjusting EQ for individual setting sounds needs to be a more simplified.

The only issue I have with these headphones is the shape and ear fit. They can become a little painful. Sound quality is what you would expect from previous 4s and 5s

Ok ish DEFINITELY not worth the price tag. Noise cancelling is mid at best....not sure what all the reviews saying it's the best noise cancelling ever were going on about...works with music on but when silent or podcasts it's doing nothing noise cancelling is coming from ear buds blocking noises nothing much else

Bought the XM6s after losing my XM4s two weeks ago. TLDR, I was not impressed. Definitely not worth the price compared to the features or lack of.

Sound - The sound profile seems to have been improved quite a bit! They are not as bass heavy as the XM4s were and the factory tuning gives off a flat response feel even though it is definitely not.

ANC - ANC was the most disappointing aspect of this upgrade for me. I have been using the same foam tips I had for XM4s. The quality of the ANC is far better blocking most if not all outside sound making. Especially when media is playing, it is so easy to get fully immersed in music!

That said, if no media is playing the XM6s come with a quite noticeable noise floor. It's like having a white noise machine going. Thing is that white noise goes completely away when media playback is resumed. But it is quite annoying since I have been used to using my XM4s to completely isolate and focus in silence but the ANC noise floor of the XM6s makes it just annoying.

Audio passthrough - Worse than the XM4s. The passthrough sound sounds tinny and lacking any depth. It does not sound good enough to even have a normal conversation while wearing them. It just does not sound natural.

Microphones - The additional microphones work wonders during phone calls. My XM4s were unusable in most outdoor situations. The XM6s are not amazing as the feedback I got was that my voice sounded muffled. That said the environment was either too windy or had a lot of background noise so the fact they could hear me at all was a miracle considering the quality on the XM4s but still worse than other market leaders.

Battery life - Exceptional. Have been using them on my commute and did not manage to discharge them to less than 60%. Considering their battery is brand new its is expected but the life protect feature added in the app is very welcome since I am planning on holding onto to them for years.

Design - I had seen a few reviews talk down the new case design calling it bulky but do not feel the same. The shape makes it uncomfortable to carry around but volume wise I feel it's pretty similar to the XM4s. Wireless charging is always welcome. The earbuds themselves feel light enough to forget they are in. Being used to the heavier XM4s these ones feel like they are so easy to fall out even though they sit very nicely.

Features and improvements:

- It is amazing I can use either the left or the right earbud on their own again. Also individual earbud ANC is a great option.

• The multi point connection feature seems to have improved vastly since there are no weird connection hiccups to be found anymore.
• Allowing double and triple tap actions on both earbuds is also great allowing me to control almost all main playback functions and volume control from the earbuds alone.
  
  

Overall, the XM6s are decent and offer good ANC. The sound quality is great and call quality was a vast improvement from the XM4s. Even though a lot of things improved, I did not feel as happy with my purchase as I did when I got the XM4s at the same price.

Äänenlaatu on taas moitteeton ja täydellinen omaan korvaan. Vastamelu totuttuun tapaan on markkinoiden kärkeä,myös toiminnot ovat mielestäni saanut ison harppauksen edellisiin verrattuna, esim. Auto Ambient Sound Mode(automaattinen ympäristö-ääni) toimii paljon edeltäjäänsä paremmin ja osaa blokata kovia ääniä mutta osaa päästää puhetta läpi hienosti. Jos nämä ovat earbudsien Mersu äänenlaadultaan ja toiminnoiltaan niin kotelo vastaa perus Volkkaria, ihan siisti mutta tähän hintaluokkaan voisin olettaa hieman enemmän.

These are exceptional for sound quality they are far better than my wired studio headphones, the noise cancelling is better than the top earbuds on the market and the price is really good

I have upgraded from the XM5s and I am.so happy I have. Sound quality has improved over an already great sounding headphone, the E.Q is better, the fit is better, overall its an improvement over last model,which was gona be a hard task for Sony to achieve but they have. . I prefer the shape of the old case but other than that I must say a top class product and would highly recommend to anyone debating weather ro try the XM6 or ro upgrade..

Bought for under a month, anc is great level for me. Feel secure in ear and the eartips are perfect. I would like the ability to be able to buy replacements if they are needed tho

I just started using these headphones, amd I'm surprised by how nicely they are designed! They have a almost sandy, tactile feeling, are light and smaller than I'd expected. The textured white they use remind a little bit of a dial on a Grand Seiko. They are also more "usable" than I'd anticipated, they connect quickly, and switch seamlessly between my MacBook and my Android phone. Also the ANC is good, though it's not far behind my Sennheiser Momentum 4s in daily life. I also enjoy the sound, but again, subjectively it feels similar. The only thing I was a bit disappointed by is the sounds, but then I've never had true wireless earbuds that sounded very clear. So far, I am really enjoying them, though, and considering my experience with earbuds breaking over time, I appreciate the option to have 4 year coverage through Sony Care.

Better than expected. Good fit (I had Airpods Pro before these, which were disappointing in comparison). Excellent sound quality and noise cancelling. Very happy customer.

Have had the 1000XM3 for the last few years and purchased the 1000XM6. The sound quality and noise cancelling is so much better. Also the case is much smaller and fits in your pocket better. Would highly recommend.

I bought these last month and I couldn't be happier with them. Fully customisable and sound Super. Foam bud tips stay in but feel a little light or unstable in the ear but no other issues.

These earphones are very good. They deliver the experience I was expecting and are comfortable to use.

Been using the XM6's for 2 weeks now and they are fantastic. The audio quality is truly magnificent!

Bought a few weeks after its general release. Sound quality and fit is good. Size of the buds and case are larger and a compromise to the previous version. Active noise cancellation has turned itself off whilst on the train (happened with the previous model) so issues already on a brand new product. This doesn’t happen with other products.

I've had these Buds for a couple of weeks and so far I'm happy with them. The noise cancelling is truly spot on, and the sound is really good. Up to now I've had no problems with either bud dropping out. The Sony app is a good accompany, but the only gripe I have is that you can't physically turn the volume up/down with a touch of the buds. Apart from that they're really good and I'm pleased with them.

Very happy with noise cancelling and sound quality however buds feel insecure in ears with correct size foam inserts. Difficult to gauge if they are inserted correctly when on the move.

Bought these to replaced WF-1000XM3 earbuds after 6 years of usage at home & abroad. The WF-1000XM6 are a vast improvement; smaller, even better fitting in-ear. Very easy to pair with phone, great sound options, excellent battery life. Definitely worth the price for functionality & features. If I can get another 6+ years of usage as I did with WF-XM3, will continue to be very satisfied with Sony products.

These are really good headphone and the sound is really good to I like the fact that l can changedth== the sound using the Sony app its really goos and very easy to do.

Not good, disappointed and very little of an upgrade from my old WF1000-XM4.

Active Noise Cancelling(ANC) is average and turns off regardless of settings. The cycle between OFF, AMBIENT and ANC is temperamental and seems to get confused a lot. Even when it's on the level of background noise is far from impressive.

Sound quality is good. Clear and slightly better than previous models but this is subjective and they all sound good if you fiddle with EQ

Battery is definitely less than stated, did not get the time I even had from my old XM4s (after I had to replace the battery on them myself due to the common issue of them being unusable after a firmware update).

Connection is average, they haven't cut out much but sometimes one will not work and they need to be put back in the case once or twice to kick in. Also yesterday there was a split second delay between them so it was echoey which was annoying. At this level of price this is not good. Not good enough for new earphones.

Fit is weird, they poke out, so if you have the touch control function on it constantly mistakenly pauses or turns ambient sound on. If you have a hood or hat or try to sleep with them they will need to have touch function turned off. But they still don't fit well for me regardless of the ear tip used. Sound can also be affected by turning the head which is terrible for new flagship earphones.

Lots of pointless gimmicky features (360 sound etc) but can't do the basics right. Ambient sound is stupid to me but I'm sure some people like it. I would rather just take them out personally, particularly if the addition of such features hinders performance. Equally I don't need the earphones to guess where I am and change modes. I see no use for the ANC 'off' mode. The cycle between ANC on, ANC Off and Ambient sound for me means having 2 settings I would never use. The background mode is odd but I did find it useful on occasion (however I could gladly live without it).

The app is clunky and poor for a brand as big as Sony. Lots of personalisation and EQ but cycling between features didn't seem to work on occasion.

After the battery issues on my XM4s and now these new ones being poor I have little trust in Sony. I will try to return them after 2 weeks of genuinely desperately wanting them to be good.

Ps I have updated to latest firmware and tried the steps mentioned in the replies to other reviews.
