Super lightweighted gaming-mouse
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mouse is impressively lightweight at just 48.4 g and supports a high polling rate of 8,000 Hz both when wired and when using the wireless dongle. It offers five customizable buttons that can be configured through the INZONE Hub software or the web-based version if you prefer not to install anything. Charging is convenient with a USB-C quick charge feature, providing about 10 hours of use from just 5 minutes of charging and a full charge in roughly 1.5 hours, lasting up to 90 hours at 1,000 Hz or up to 19 hours at 8,000 Hz. While the INZONE Hub software can be buggy on Windows 10, it works smoothly on Windows 11.
I thought I had a good mouse until I used this one
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As I unpacked it I was pleasantly surprised at its weight and size, and how comfortable it is, when used on long periods of gaming! I first used it wired, which was actually less responsive than when I changed it over to use it wirelessly, it became a whole different animal! I have yet to find the battery compartment, as my concern is even with a long life battery, how easy is it to change when the time comes, although I get it charges with the cable, and it currently has a long game play time! With the side buttons it took a minute or two to get used to them, however it quickly made game play much easier and more fluent than what I had experienced in the past! I use my Inzone on a reasonably powerful PC, and I am already surprised at how precise and quick movements are, especially with my trucking games this mouse responds really well, something I'm getting used too! As a whole out of the box, I'm really impressed! I look forward to many hours game time, and would certainly recommend it!
Incredibly light; quality build
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Design
What can I say about the design of this mouse? Well, for once, marketing claims are true! I know, I’m shocked as well. But when Sony says ‘Ultra-lightweight. Uncompromising.’ they are dead on the money. I haven’t actually weighed the Mouse-A to confirm Sony’s 48.4g, but given my experience with it, I’m inclined to take their word for it. It is so light, I didn’t know there was a battery inside, and I was looking to see where the clip to release the battery cover was for the first few minutes; then, I figured it must be wired only, but when I realised I had to connect the wire (it didn’t occur to me straight away that it wasn’t wired in the box) I realised it must have a battery in it, but to hold it, you would never know. It is also comfortable to hold and use, and the buttons (and scrollwheel) all feel solid, sturdy, and of great quality. Honestly, it is one of the best mice I’ve used overall, particularly for comfort and gaming.
In the interest of full disclosure, I have a physical disability which affects the use of my hands and my dexterity. It isn’t designed for accessibility, and so I’m reviewing this from as ‘normal’ a viewpoint as I can. But even with my disability, I could comfortably use this mouse for hours at a time.
Features
Beyond its astonishingly lightweight design, which is a feature in and of itself, its sensor appears to uphold Sony’s marketing claims that it is fast and precise. When I was editing some photos, I was able to make FAR fewer errors in fine detail editing, and when playing FPS games, I was able to get a 16% increase in headshot accuracy. Now I don’t tend to play online multiplayer games; I much prefer games with a story, so I tend to play the campaigns, and in some, you can track your headshot accuracy (or general accuracy), and that is where that figure comes from. Sony claims the Mouse-A communicates with its dongle at a variable frequency of 500-8000Hz. I can’t tell you if that’s true, as I had no way to measure it, but the experience of using it tells me there is little to no lag, and it is precise - though I expect that some of that is to do with driver wizardry too. It comes with five or six buttons (depending on whether you include the scroll wheel’s scrolling function as a button), all of which are quick to respond with a light press, but have enough resistance to prevent accidental clicks. I will say if you have a twitch, tremor or other diskinetic condition, you will get some accidental clicks, but that is to be expected for this type of mouse. I didn’t do a test of the 90-hour battery, but suffice it to say I’ve not needed to charge it and I’ve been using it constantly for a week, so again I’m inclined to accept this claim as true. You can customise all of the features and settings through the detailed InZone Hub.
Conclusion
I would, and have, recommended the Mouse-A to anybody who is looking to get an edge in games which require accuracy, speed and reliability, or to anybody who does a bit of light photo editing (serious editors will no doubt use a stylus of some sort). It’s overkill for anybody just browsing the web and doing office work or school work, and the price reflects that. However, for gamers (for whom it was designed), I honestly couldn’t find a complaint. Some people may like more buttons, to which they can map shortcuts too or specific operations on a game-by-game basis, but for most gamers they’re cumbersome - unless you’re focused on a specific game and don’t tend to play much outside of that. All in all, a 10/10 product from Sony.
As light as a feather.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Allow me to set some context first, I'm a bit "old school" when it comes to gaming, I love a weighty controller, something I can really hang on to when I'm being an adventurer in the virtual world.
So when I first unpacked the Sony INZONE Mouse-A, other than the beautiful packaging (and it really is beautiful), the first thing that struck me was how light it was. I was a little underwhelmed, it felt the weight of a piece of paper and my shoulders sagged as I grumbled thinking it was just a cheap piece of plastic that would get blown off my desk if I sneezed.
Anyway, putting my big boy pants on and dismissing my fears to the back of my mind, I set it up with my Playstation 5. Plug something in, press a button and setting up was done, really simple.
Heading to my favourite game, those dark thoughts of cheap plastic now creeping to the front of my mind. My ego quivering at the thought of using it.
Well well, my mind was blown. I'd had my realisation moment. I got it, all within a few seconds.
Because I'm so "old school" I hadn't appreciated the joy of almost not having anything in my hand, and with almost nothing in my hand I could control my console, my game and my character. With utter ease I'm gliding the mouse around my desk as if it didn't exist, yes I'm moving my hand and fingers but unless you really concentrate you cannot really tell that your guiding an object.
It's so light, that it becomes part of you, you forget about "it" being there and "it" being in-between you and what your eyes are seeing on the screen.
I've never weighed a finger, but if I were to guess then I'd say the Sony INZONE Mouse-A is probably much lighter, and because it is so light you forget it is there and that made me feel more directly connected to the action on the screen.
And what's even better is that there are no downsides, it's ultra fast and accurate in its response - just like my hand is.
I was no longer using a device, I was just using my hand. Remarkable.
Intone Mouse-A Lightweight and response
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mouse arrived in a box that could be recycled. It's very light weight and comes with a charging lead and wireless receiver. It also come with two spare mouse feet.
Connectivity was easy whether via attaching the wireless dongle to PC with supplied wire or connecting direct via wire. The response is excellent as it would be operating at 30000 DPI max.
Whilst not being able to fully test the battery time its well on the way to the described 90 hours usage.
For avid gamers I would recommend this mouse but if your just a normal PC user then you have a very responsive mouse .
A great tool for the serious esporter!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From the unboxing you can see the preparation that has gone into this item.
Even the packaging has been meticulously planned.
Instructions for quick set up are easy to follow, also included are an extra set of "feet" and a couple of INZONE stickers.
There are both wired and wireless set up options. The latter through a dedicated 2.4 GHz dongle and cable (supplied). The dongle only takes up a little desk space and offers superior low latency for gaming. Wired play reduces the latency to zero.
As this is a pro level product, there is no standard Bluetooth option. The very impressive 8000 Hz polling rate can be achieved with either set up.
The INZONE Mouse – A has been developed and tested with top players from Fnatic.
Once set up, the first thing you notice is the light weight – 48.4g.
It’s unique shape sits comfortably – my hand size of 20.5 x 7.5 could easily reach the side buttons.
Once I was used to the weight it was super easy to steer and did not cause fatigue.
The 3950IZ sensor (up to 30,000 DPI) is ultra responsive giving both speed and precision.
The INZONE app and a web version provide many options to make personal adjustments, check battery life, and up to four profiles can stored. On Windows 11, I found this easy to use and even slight alterations brought better control.
In my experience, the claim of a 5-to-10-minute charge producing 10 hours play was accurate, I am still working on testing the 90 hours life on a 90 minute charge!
Overall; I would highlight the light weight, speed, and accuracy as the main features. I am delighted with the performance.
Best mouse I ever had!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] overall the mouse is very good, lightweight yet still feels quality and sturdy, fast and very manoeuvrable yet still controllable. it's very responsive in game and fits my hand nicely; doesn't hurt the wrist even after long gaming sessions and in fact, it's the sort of mouse that will just disappear into your hand when gaming, allowing you to focus on the screen rather the your hand. the skates are also very smooth on my mousepad and I love the different connection options as it allows for a very versatile mouse that can not only be used for intensive gaming but also general computer work. I like the side buttons as well although it's not an uncommon feature on mice. the INZONE hub is surprisingly well made and easy to use for a peripheral software and I like the different profiles feature in it. I think the only thing that I don't like is the power button on the underside which is quite small so can be a bit difficult to press although most of the time it's fine and it could probably be slightly lighter but they're small issues to be honest (a switch might work better). overall, it's a great E-sports mouse that I'm sure any gamer would be happy to have in there setup.
Super Quick and Oh So Smooth!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First thing you notice as you take it from the box is how light this mouse is. I don't have big hands but the fit is just great as you wrap your hands around the mouse and the buttons and wheel are all easily accessible. It glides over the mouse pad and it first I thought I would be unable to control it but the more you use it you realise how functionally easy and good this mouse is. It is very responsive to my actions and in fact I just might get better using this mouse. I have need to adjust!!
The charge on this mouse is first class. It seems to last which is nothing but good. I am not sure the value for money is as good which is why I cannot give a '5".
Beautifully Light and Composed
Ordered it 3 days ago, received it today, instantly replaced my Deathadder V3; it's light, flickable, glides effortlessly on my mousepad, and actually comes with an 8kHz adapter. It inspires confidence to find the target. The coating is smooth and slightly cool to the touch, the resistance on the scroll wheel is really good, no accidental scrolls, for sure. All the buttons have good resistance, the mouse buttons aren't spamible, but I like that, adds to the feeling of synergistic quality; it's 48.4 grams but feels reassuringly well put together.
Looking forward to seeing an asymmetric version in the future.
