You don't need to strain after blending. It's easy to clean and has a powerful power that's also a plus; it's very powerful. I honestly don't see anything bad about the blender.

If anyone uses it for ice cream, it does that job quite well too. In my experience, it's been a great purchase. I knew it was a good brand, and it never fails.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Years ago, I bought an expensive hand blender and I thought It was enough to make great meals for my children, until I discovered this KitchenAid blender.

When you open the box it seems huge, but soon you get used to the size. I live in Spain and my family is used to eat some soups, creams and cold soups that are typical here, so I started to make Salmorejo: a typical cold tomato soup. With other blenders, the soup is great, but it has some little pieces of skin and seeds that makes the dish good, but not perfect. With kitchenaid blender you don't have to peel the tomatoes because it turns into a perfect, very smooth and free of skin and seeds meal. So easy. I was impressed.

The blender is easy to operate: it has a few buttons.

On/Off (don't need to explain the function of this one)

Clean: It runs a little program that turns on and off automatically the blender to clean it after putting some water and soap.

Crush: designed if you are crushing ice

Smoothie: It runs a program that helps you to make delicious smoothies.

A wheel that adjust the speed from 0 to 10 speed.

The jar included is made of plastic, but it seems so durable. It has a security system that allows you to turn on the blender only if the top is correctly putted on the jar. The only way to add ingredients is through the small opening on top.

My conclusion is: if you are used to eat some creams, soups, smoothies or sauces and you want to push them to the limit, you must have one of this in your kitchen. I definitely recommended it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What an incredibly powerful blender! My daughter loves frozen mashed banana with yogurt. I have used various devices for this, but none was powerful enough to blend it quickly and easily.

Until I tried it in this blender. In a very short time I had a smooth mass! The shape of the blades makes it quick and easy to blend, so you don't really have to worry about ingredients getting left behind or not blending properly. It is a bit noisy, but that's understandable considering the power behind it.

Making smoothies is also a piece of cake. You'll have a deliciously smooth smoothie in no time. The various programs it comes with make it easy to operate and you really don't need to read an extensive manual to understand it.

What I always find a big disadvantage of blenders is cleaning. They've thought of that too! It has a cleaning program. You add some hot water, a drop of dish soap, and turn the program on. It makes a noise for a few seconds and the amount of foam created tells you how powerful it is. All the dirt is off the sides. A quick rinse with clean water and it's ready for the next use.

We're fans, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful blender. It's a bit large, but I personally find it attractive and stylish. It's no problem leaving it on the counter.

The only thing I can think of that could be improved is the jug. While it's very sturdy, it's made of plastic. I'm curious to see how long it will stay that way.
